I agree with @Peyroteo94 . Pogacar has a monster w/kg engine but two Vans have big pure power and are faster in a sprint. Therefore beating both of them in a flat, cobbled race is difficult. PR has some strong luck factor though (mechanicals). To sum up: Pogacar will have a chance to win but won't be favoured against his top rivals.

PR is not only about watts or watts per kilo. Lighter riders lose speed vs heavier riders due to more vertical movement from the cobblestones. That is why Pogi has talked about gaining some weight before taking on PR. It will be after he is satisfied with his TDF wins.

I am totally bored with the question of whether he should have done the Vuelta. Hopefully we can move on from that.

For sure Pogi understands the impossible nature of the GT treble and will for sure try it with proper preparation. I would expect it if he either wins the next two Worlds OR 2026 WC course doesn't suit him.

While is like 4 more years of pure dominance. It is almost impossible. Don't forget this season is once in a lifetime season and for that reason he is on his way to have the best season of all times.

If he won 1 Grand Tour and 2 monuments every year it would take 7 more years of incredible success to eclipse both of Merckx incredible landmarks.

19 monuments, maybe. But 11 GTs, yeah I can envisagé that without too much difficulty. 3 more Tours, 2 giros and a Vuelta.

Possible but not guaranteed and you’d imagine a couple of fallow seasons (or less stellar seasons by his standards) for misc reasons common in cycling are inevitable.

4 weeks. Let's hope for no crashes and Slovenia to be at least useful for Pogacar and not let Belgium to put someone in the break. I just want a mano a mano.
