So that is why he attacked with 100km to go. He needed those kms to process all of his emotions. And even then it was not enough.

Very good pacing. It seemed to me that he was playing with the whole peloton yesterday. Letting them come to 40ish seconds and than gaining 15 sec back with 10 pedalstrokes.
After what in reality was a solo training ride for 100km against everyone, yes safe to say if he decide to enter.Double WC in coming next year. TT is tailormade for him
He attacked from 100km out. But he didnt stay away from 100km on his own. The attack also was 170km into the race. Something that is easy to forget. After what in reality was a solo training ride for 100km against everyone, yes safe to say if he decide to enter.
Im not sure every people get how much stronger he actually needs to be to stay away for 100km.
Not like this it was unique and will go down for decades. In order to win like this yeah it goes without saying.“He’s the strongest rider of his generation. There is no doubt about that,” said the 79-year-old Merckx. “You know, it takes a lot to blow my socks off at my age. Well, Tadej has succeeded. I suspected he could be world champion, but never like this. He’s really the best – congratulations.”

Take away nothing and he is the lesser rider.Take away Remco's aerodynamic package and he is a lesser rider.

In my opinion it was a terrible move tactically. It was successful becuase well... he is Tadej, a lot stronger than everybody else.I wasn't able to watch the race, but what a feat. I followed a ticker, and when he went at 100km's I thought nice, he's going to blow himself up. But he didn't. Tactically an amazing move, he was also clearly the strongest. Well deserved World Champion.
The fact that chasing group attacked each other, was not really cooperating after Belgium train blew up and absence of radios was also in his favour. Fortune favoured the bold this time.In my opinion it was a terrible move tactically. It was successful becuase well... he is Tadej, a lot stronger than everybody else.
Yeah, but you put everybody else in Tadej's position and they would be caught. The fact that chasing group attacked each other, was not really cooperating after Belgium train blew up and absence of radios was also in his favour. Fortune favoured the bold this time.
Probably so. The only rider I can see pulling this kind of attack is Remco in top shape. But that would not work as Pog would be all over him like a cheap suit if roles would be reversed.Yeah, but you put everybody else in Tadej's position and they would be caught.
That's why he's the GOAT.Yeah, but you put everybody else in Tadej's position and they would be caught.
pretty much.In my opinion it was a terrible move tactically. It was successful becuase well... he is Tadej, a lot stronger than everybody else.
Tactics are for weak.pretty much.
Tactically Pogacar is no miracle lol. He's just so preposterously strong it works 99% of the time
