and sh*t happens.Don't be silly. Probably you thought the same in 2022 and Vingegaard was better than Pogacar. Pogacar has to be humble and fight to reach a new level next year. Tour-Vuelta is on the menu

I don't think UAE is that superior to other teams. They have better riders but the only rider to make a huge leap was in fact Pogacar.Important indicator is overall team performance. If the team is super far ahead of everyone else as well, then it's more likely other teams will catch up at some point.
Yes, they have a very talented team and the greatest rider ever in their ranks. Of course, they are many winning races.I didn't think UAE is that superior to other teams. They have better riders but the only rider to make a huge leap was in fact Pogacar.
Yates
Almeida
Ayuso
McNulty
Vine
Hirschi
Wellens
Do you think these guys are so much better this year compared to last year? I don't think so.
Of course UAE won a lot more this year but it is mainly because they have better riders and a very deep team so they collect a lot of small races.
Why would you assume he’s less interested? In his recent podcast, he said (paraphrasing) that Tour is the greatest race of all, whoever wins the Tour is the best and he will race the Tour until he rides his bike professionally.Turning back any advance from a healthy Vingo will at least be UAE’s biggest goal of 2025. Pogi is usually slightly less interested. I’m guessing he’ll want to repeat Flanders, prevail in MSR, win the vuelta, and try to retain his WC stripes for 2026 as his biggest goals.
Comrade @mou has said as much the tour is his employment work, but his interest is in other races. Why would you assume he’s less interested? Do we have any indications from Pog he’s not that much into Tour besides our own projections?
2 years ago he said Remco was clearly the best rider in the world... after that, I really don't care about what Valverde says."What he did was outrageous" - Alejandro Valverde calls Tadej Pogacar the best cyclist he's ever seen

Praise has understandably been flying in from all angles toward 2024 world champion Tadej Pogacar after his incredible display in Zurich on Sunday afternoon. Legendary Spaniard Alejandro Valverde know...cyclinguptodate.com
How weird he said that about the person winning velo d'or2 years ago he said Remco was clearly the best rider in the world... after that, I really don't care about what Valverde says.
Tour is not a race you can enjoy. Contador has been saying this during his career, Pogacar says the same. He was way more happy riding in the Giro, without all the media pressure, sponsors, etc.Comrade @mou has said as much the tour is his employment work, but his interest is in other races.
Yes, it is stupid when you have Pogacar in the peloton. Like you can see, he changed his opinion... it was so obvious that even him couldn't maintain that stupid take. Remco is great, a generational talent but Pogacar is Pogacar, sorry. There isn't even a comparisonHow weird he said that about the person winning velo d'or
You are acting as if the season Pogacar had this year was already written in the stars and everyone would know this would happen.Yes, it is stupid when you have Pogacar in the peloton. It's called the availability bias. Events in recent memory are considered more important. He was not the only one saying this about Remco btw. De Gendt for example was also clear about this. They experienced it of course first hand ... in their legs actually. The same bias is currently experienced by many about Pogacar, including the great Eddy Merckx. Don't be surprised to hear something else again in a few years.Yes, it is stupid when you have Pogacar in the peloton. When Evenepoel won Velo d'Or it was both well deserved and also still quite obvious Pogacar was a better rider and that Pog was just very inefficient in converting his ability to big wins while Evenepoel went 3/3 in big targets. You are acting as if the season Pogacar had this year was already written in the stars and everyone would know this would happen.
Or you should have no issue believing Pogacar is the crystal-clearly the best rider in the World; base solely on your prior faith.2 years ago he said Remco was clearly the best rider in the world... after that, I really don't care about what Valverde says.
I'm acting like a guy who watches cycling since Pogacar came into the scene and he is by far the best since 2021You are acting as if the season Pogacar had this year was already written in the stars and everyone would know this would happen.

Exactly, people actually did know...#mouknew

I think he goes on the penultimate San Luca. IMO, he shouldn't just bank on going mano-a-mano with Roglic on the final San Luca where Roglic is most dangerous (even though I think Pogacar can beat Roglic in the final sprint with the form he's in).Is there any chance he actually waits until the final round of San Luca before he attacks?
To be able go at 100km left and stay away. Its almost impossible to understand if you have not been a pro cyclist to get just how much better/stronger than everyone he is to be to be able to do that. What we saw yesterday while weve seen it all year during Liege, Giro and the Tour one woulda thought he actually couldnt shock more,,kinda disbelief what we saw still. Hard to grasp
Like he says the physical superiority is insane.
"We've seen riders do ridiculous things in recent years, but the physical difference, the superiority with which he rides..." - Thijs Zonneveld on Tadej Pogacar
As if it was ever really in doubt, Tadej Pogacar empcyclinguptodate.com
I can definitely see him going just in the last San Luca. These are just prep races before the big goalI think he goes on the penultimate San Luca.
