I found his first win way more emotional. His 2nd LBL was a big letdown for cycling. We lost a duel between Pogi and Remco and probably a fair duel between Vingo and Pogi in the Tour.In white shorts in the rain, it was glorious
It was a let down indeed, but he completely destroyed the opposition. It was a very tough day with all that rain.I found his first win way more emotional. His 2nd LBL was a big letdown for cycling. We lost a duel between Pogi and Remco and probably a fair duel between Vingo and Pogi in the Tour.
This is from more than 5 years agoGrafics above the stripes need to be black or did UCI change the rules recently?
He will Poglastomp Rogla? He waits till the last lap tomorrow and redeems his loss to Roglic in 2023.
GoatstompHe will Poglastomp Rogla?
We don't have a world champion of this level since Bernard Hinault and the last man to win the Tour and WC in the same season is Greg Lemond. 35 years later! I will be sad if Pogacar don't ride a full classics program next season alongside Tour-Vuelta.Goatstomp
This is a prep race and he might have a hangover after his win in Zurich.Don't see how he doesn't attack before the final lap
Funny you should mention "hangover" - Carlos Sainz on XThis is a prep race and he might have a hangover after his win in Zurich.
Sainz also posted a video on X showing himself, Pogačar, and the Slovenian's partner, Liv AlUla Jayco rider Urška Žigart, out on a recovery ride. In the video, the new world champion asks for his F1 companion's opinion on his signature bread snack. "They say it's good for a hangover," Sainz responds. Pogačar concurs. "It's good for a hangover, I can tell you that," he says with a smirk.
He has the rainbow jersey and he probably wants to show off. This is a prep race and he might have a hangover after his win in Zurich.

He won the race he really wanted to win this season. Vuelta was never on his mind, this WC was very important to him. Somehow he has been feeling some guilty about his "underperformances" with a slovenian jersey.Funny you should mention "hangover" - Carlos Sainz on X
Maybe you are right but he has the team to put him in great position going to the last lap.He has the rainbow jersey and he probably wants to show off.
Besides, I don't think Evenepoel or Mas are gonna wait either.
He did in 2022.And please, Enric Mas will attack? Don't believe that for one second... but I will be here if he proves me wrong
I still don't believe it.He did in 2022.
Anyway, I think Evenepoel is a lock for meme attacks, and pretty much only Roglic is a lock for the suckest of wheels.
that's the case every year, though, and the only recent World Champion who did well in the race right after was Alaphilippe in 2020.He has the rainbow jersey and he probably wants to show off.
But, was this year's duel fair then?I found his first win way more emotional. His 2nd LBL was a big letdown for cycling. We lost a duel between Pogi and Remco and probably a fair duel between Vingo and Pogi in the Tour.
Of course not. I already said this many times. Despite having 3 more weeks to recover, Vingegaard had a way more serious crash. But, was this year's duel fair then?
Vingegaard never won vs a 100% pogacar and the gap has increased just give it a rest, in reality he is miles away I know this, Jumbo even knows it, give it rest. He can pretty much only win if Pogacar is not 100%. I say that as a Vingegaard fan. But, was this year's duel fair then?

Actually Pogacar kind of corrected those forum numbers. He said his first TdF was won with 67 in the Attia interview, this year he went in with slightly below 66 and came out at 65. His max weight all year is 69. So I guess 67 right now would sound realistic.Pogacar weighs around 64-65kg at the TDF, while Evenepoel weighs 62-63kg. Pogacar is also 5cm taller. They have different builds in general of course. Pogacar sits between Evenepoel and Vingegaard in type of build.
