No sweat. The other thing gained by Pogi this season is confidence. Pogacar took everything thrown at him in 2022 and 2023 and exceeded that by a wide margin. He cannot be complacent but I see no reason why he won't school Vingegard and Visma again in 2025. Remember likely he won't ride the Giro next season. He just needs to stay healthy and uninjured.Fisherman is already training to close the gap to Pogacar. Never saw a rider starting his road season before November. He is really focused, Pogacar needs to up his game again and not let Vingegaard win the Tour.
Vingegaard too. At least Pogacar has a great team now and not a weak team like the one he had in 2020-2022 periodNo sweat. The other thing gained by Pogi this season is confidence. Two wordsFisherman is already training to close the gap to Pogacar. Never saw a rider starting his road season before November. He is really focused, Pogacar needs to up his game again and not let Vingegaard win the Tour.
Sorry, I didn't get your pointTwo words

This is type of rider that should be brought to UAE. Novak is so useful, a great and loyal domestique. This interview with Domen Novak is so much about Pogačar that I might as well put it here.

That's going to be a long season for Vingegaard if he already start now, not sure that is the smartestFisherman is already training to close the gap to Pogacar. Nah, he is loyal but he will not be important in the Tour. Visma will have a super team so UAE need to bring their A game.Agree! Novak also really stepped up in 24. Hope they take him to he tour in 25
Majority of all race fans of all kinds see majority of coverage on TV and social media. In GP and Super Bike, they have a pay area to walk the pits and amongst the team vehicles, and a second tier pit pass that costs extra. Don't have a clue to know revenue it brings in. In bike racing I have not seen many restrictions and you can get fairly close to team bus and support vehicles.I like the idea of charging for select areas, especially for the VIP douche's. Teams should get a large share of that but the roadside is for the people...that's the heart of the sport's connection to everyman. It's not like a cyclocross venue that's contained, has beergardens, etc. Folks walk up long roads just to glimpse a passing group.
He's clearly not built for a long season. One peak with a few mini-peaks before. That's going to be a long season for Vingegaard if he already start now, not sure that is the smartest
The difference between all of these sport is the pure professionalism of the Owner/investor class. They have a direct association with the NFL, MLB, WL, F1, whatever. They sit in meetings when broadcast contracts are negotiated and have an actual business perspective. They also seek counsel on monetizing their individual brands to garner loyal fan revenue. Red Bull might come close but it's also in their house and not a shared model. The Oil sponsors simply don't care and don't share unless they buy a Football club for billions (fill in your currency here). They pay attention then, not to make money but to avoid looking foolish.Majority of all race fans of all kinds see majority of coverage on TV and social media. All you need to do is look at major professional sports to see how absolutely broken the cycling business model is and has been!!
Tonight tens of millions worldwide will watch MLB World Series.. Only 56,000 paid attendance for live event.
Name the sport, you see where they will play and when, often less than @100,000 able to see live..TV and revenue from transmission rights will bring in millions. Pro bike racing still can't crack the code for selling the product!! When does the season start? When does it end? Is there a championship? Is it the Worlds or TDF? Nobody seems to know.. Is Pogacar the best because he won the WC race or because he won TDF?
This year was a little less confusing because he won both..
Why does pro golf, pro football or all kinds, basketball, baseball, hockey, F1, GP,NASCAR, SuperBike...why do all these lucrative popular sports do it differently than pro bike racing..?

Why is Pogacar not on this list? Athletic ability? Or failed marketing and business model of pro cycling?
The upside to cycling’s methodology is nearly every major race (at least a dozen?) is contested thoroughly and celebrated universally. Rather one final championship.Majority of all race fans of all kinds see majority of coverage on TV and social media. See the preceding post. Small market minds are squirreling nuts away and there is no more money. The upside to cycling’s methodology is nearly every major race (at least a dozen?) is contested thoroughly and celebrated universally. Rather one final championship.
To me this issue is who is keeping the money and why aren’t the sport teams and athletes maximally monetized.
Novak over Bjerg and July WellensNah, he is loyal but he will not be important in the Tour. Visma will have a super team so UAE need to bring their A game.
Pogacar
Yates
Almeida
Soler
Sivakov
Wellens
Politt
Bjerg
July Wellens was pretty good this year until he started to get sick. He will always be a good ally when ever there are any cobbles or gravel racing.Novak over Bjerg and July Wellens
Wellens is Pogacar's buddy. No way Mcnulty will be there. Somehow I'm afraid Visma will have a better mountain train than UAE. I think UAE is missing another top mountain domestique. Yates and Almeida are not enough to Simon Yates, Matteo and Kuss. This is @mou recent tweet for the tour uae lineup. He reads this forum and replies to it on twitter

Sivakov was pretty good towards the end of the season and didnt McNulty do a monster stage not too long ago in the Tour? Both are capable in my opinion.Wellens is Pogacar's buddy. Mcnulty is not a team player. Soler and Sivakov are fantastic riders but they aren't top mountain domestiques.Sivakov was pretty good towards the end of the season and didnt McNulty do a monster stage not too long ago in the Tour? Both are capable in my opinion.
Who said he wasn't? He just isn't a top mountain domestique like Yates or Almeida.Sivakov is a great domestique I don't know what people are smoking.
