How many times Pogacar has been top 5 in a WC ITT?
And before you ask me again why, because if you can be top 5 in a WC, you're elite.

Most of the Pogacar TT wins are late in a stage race hilly TT's which are not good comparasion to this
Pogacar never raced a WC TT in top shape.

I don't agree. Guys like hayter or mcnulty did top 5 in the past and are not elite TT riders.

In the last Pogacar's performances compared to the winner in terns of sec/km gap have been worse.
If we use Bisseger as a reference, in 2022 Pogacar lost 18 seconds over 9 kilometres. Yesterday he lost 5 seconds over 13, that's a clear improvement, is it not?

Now, I'm not saying Pogacar did an extraordinary time trial, he performed on par with what was expected. But your take that "he barely beat Vine so his new position didn't work well" is simply wrong.

His TT on the flat has improved significantly. He has clearly been working on position over the past year. He said last year that he has been focusing on it a lot because mentally his bad tt Performances in ‘23 were effecting him.

Realistically he was never going to win a flat TT against Tarling especially when he is already looking super lean for February.

The contempt that pog is facing this days has now reached a level where Lennert Van Eetvelt has put his team on the front to chase for the stage. End times🙁😑

I didn't saw improvements in this TT by him, with this new position. Maybe in the future, he will get better than in the past with this new TT position. That's why i compared him with vine.

I guess that's a point of view. You compare him with Vine (who is in fact great TTer) and you don't think he is good.
Someone may compare him with Bisseger and only 5 seconds on him on such a TT and it looks great.
If you compare him with the winner (Tarling) that's a decent/good time trial.

His acceleration was incredible. He could create a gap if he wanted but decided to celebrate with 20m to go

The way he settles himself in position 10-15 for most of the climb is just so smart. And obviously he can do it because with a couple of peddle strokes he can gain 10 positions but when watching live I though maybe Pogacar didn't have super legs today and perhaps guys like Van Eetvelt or Gall would actually stand a chance to grab the win. Probably one of the reasons Decathlon chose to ride once Novak was done pulling.

Then he just goes nuclear watt monster last 150 meters and smashes all hopes for every rider this season to beat him one vs one. Absolute Goat

He is getting wiser and wiser. Age does wonders.
