I was like "Surely he can get 100 this spring" but then I realized that even if he won every planned race this spring, including MSR, E3, GW, he'll only go to 99.In July, he will reach 100 (without crashes).

He is getting wiser and wiser. Age does wonders. The way he settles himself in position 10-15 for most of the climb is just so smart. And obviously he can do it because with a couple of peddle strokes he can gain 10 positions but when watching live I though maybe Pogacar didn't have super legs today and perhaps guys like Van Eetvelt or Gall would actually stand a chance to grab the win. Probably one of the reasons Decathlon chose to ride once Novak was done pulling.
Then he just goes nuclear watt monster last 150 meters and smashes all hopes for every rider this season to beat him one vs one. Absolute Goat
That´s why he has to race Paris-Roubaix.I was like "Surely he can get 100 this spring" but then I realized that even if he won every planned race this spring, including MSR, E3, GW, he'll only go to 99.
Van Eetvelt and Onley are fast finishers in uphill sprints and he made it look like they didnt even tried. Then he just goes nuclear watt monster last 150 meters and smashes all hopes for every rider this season to beat him one vs one. Absolute Goat
PR means no AGR and FW.That´s why he has to race Paris-Roubaix.
Now, we have to wait 4 days until Jebel Hafeet. This race is dreadful and useless. He uses 165s and seat slammed forward, when Vine pulled off after monster effort, Pogacar was able to get a 100 plus cadence, in the saddle going uphill!!
His leg speed is reminiscent of King Armstrong.. Tarling held on pretty long..EF have Chavez and Costa scheduled for lots of racing.. Estaban not very impressive.
Oscar Onley is riding great and Finn Fisher Black very solid, good pick up for Red bull Bora
With petro money and China pushing for exposure, I would say Oman and UAE fit well in spring ramp up to regular racing and seeing the region sponsorship of a bunch of races and teams, this race is purposeful and harmless at the same time!! UAE dumping mountains of money into the sport, it's the least cycling can do is have a decent race with talent in the bunch..Now, we have to wait 4 days until Jebel Hafeet. This race is dreadful and useless.
Yes, well 165mm cranks would help on that - Armstrong used 175mm. I was surprised when I read Pogacar was switching to such short cranks before the Giro but it certainly seems to have paid dividends. His leg speed is reminiscent of King Armstrong.
His legs look like a sewing machine motor!!Yes, well 165mm cranks would help on that - Armstrong used 175mm. I was surprised when I read Pogacar was switching to such short cranks before the Giro but it certainly seems to have paid dividends.
FW will be the perfect race to see the monster he is right now. Narvaez leading the climb before his 1000 watts attackHis legs look like a sewing machine motor!!
Yeah... I watched 10 min at -100km and then the highlights. This race is dreadful and useless.
And the next 3 stages are unwatchable. Not a single landscape to see. Just desert!Yeah... I watched 10 min at -100km and then the highlights.
Really not captivating.
Is he really skipping the Vuelta again?View: https://x.com/laflammerouge16/status/1892313294049849735?t=UeyqQ5RICkgFahx1HGN24w&s=19
He skip the giro. Ducking Roglic again like he did at Vuelta last year
Him skipping the Vuelta was always 50/50.Is he really skipping the Vuelta again?
It is a shame. He should win when he is the best. We never know the future. A crash can ruin his career.Him skipping the Vuelta was always 50/50.
I don't think that's a big surprise.

It was always a question mark because of how close the end of the Vuelta is to the Worlds. It also looks like he also wants to go for the WC ITT title and doing the Vuelta hurts his chances for that. It's not always certain that the Worlds course suits Pogi while he can always go to the Vuelta every year as the favorite for the win. But as you said, unlucky things can happen and he should try to complete the GT collection while he's in his prime but in the end, it all goes down to what he prioritizes more. Maybe he'll still go for the Tour-Vuelta-Worlds if he feels good.Is he really skipping the Vuelta again?
