In races w punchy climbs, cobbles, wet, mud,cold, windy if your bike chatters all over the road, can't keep a contact patch, you can't count wattage savings. During recent recon rides, anyone riding a wattage saving, super stiff bike, high profile wheels , smaller diameter tires will rethink it if conditions are crap!! Aero bikes certainly have there place but in nasty conditions soft is better than stiff.. 19 watts isn't important if you are slipping, vibrating and body is beat up from absorbing all energy from the road.. Like I said, the Pidcock first bike choice looks terrible to me!! I will be curious to see if new Ridley remake is workable..
