Ineligibility for U-23 as you wrote in your post.

He is inegible for U23 competitions this year. At least in races where they apply the same rule as for the World Championship; with riders being too old the year they turn 23, even if they haven't actually turned 23 yet.

Well, I know what I meant! It will slowly start this year; first with races which have the competition in question be a U23 competition.
Which is what I responded to. No, it won't start 'slowly' this year. It won't start at all this year.

Do we take for granted that's Roglic spot?
It will be a hard choice to make. On paper, before last year's tour, Roglic was the sure candidate for that one spot, but I think Tadej is definetely showing he is quite good even in flat (is the one in the olympics even flat) TT's.

Will be interesting to see who gets that spot.

Belgium has 2 TT spots but I guess they are higher in the UCI ranking

It's not exactly flat.

That is quite a hard choice to make. I don't see either one of them finishing on the podium though. Especially if they are both in competition to win the Tour till the end.

He was 13th last year, 3 seconds ahead of Van Der Poel :D

I am curious to see him in the Strade Bianche this year. He has improved as a rider and his form appeared to be good in the UAE Tour so I think that he could be up there, but at the same time I have some doubts about his performances in the gravel sections, but I guess time will tell :tearsofjoy:

Wow, this is really a long period. How many GTs will Pogi win in the meantime? Will UAE become the next JV strength wise? (I suppose they presented him with an attractive long-term team strategy and it's not only about the money)
