Winning the Tour 3 days ago probably is more of a reason why he is in good spirits than the weather though.
I don’t think this was ever true. He didn’t win one day when it was hot, isn’t that how it went? But now it’s been made out to be his huge weakness

He did a short ride today. According to ride data the temperature was about 38C at the base of the climbs and about 28C at the top at about 1400 meters. Pretty hot I would say.
This is the kind of heat that will take its toll on a 5+ hour 240k ride. You just can’t replace fluids as fast as you lose them especially in a one day race type dynamic. I do think some riders will have issues with it but maybe on a random basis. Could keep the climbing speeds a bit more attainable for well hydrated riders at the end…He did a short ride today. They didn't specify. In Slovenian media there was a summary of an interview with Alex Carera (Pogi's manager) on tuttobiciweb.it and in that summary they said only cca 30% raise. I assume it's from 5 mil, yes - which would be a lot...30% rise from 5 million?
If Froome can get 5 million per year, Pogacar should get at least 50 million tbh.

He said they did two training rides until yesterday and while the first one was ok, on the second one he had bad legs. They were going to do another ride today (probably they already did) and after that they will see how his legs are and make a plan. From what I read he never specifically mentioned helping Roglic… (not sure I read everything though)
I am not reading anything into the pre race interviews. Sounds like shadow boxing to me trying to deflect attention and pressure from Pogacar.

In such conditions everyone could have bad legs/bad day out of nowhere. He could have bad legs on one training, Roglic might have bad legs tomorrow. I think they'll make decision during the race.

It's not measured by Strava but it's measured by the user's device (SRM PC8 as for Pogacar).
