Romme&colombiere was a bit different, in different conditions. It was a 45 min effort on average of 6.3 w/kg, in the first week of the tour. Cold weather is better for pogi.

Actually he did PDBF at 6.7 w/kg. But it's a different effort. It was a TT.

To be precise it was a 49 min effort with an average of 6.33-6.34 w/kg (and a shorter break than Spendelles Hautacam combo). As for PDBF his climb was close to 6.7 w/kg but I was talking about his almost an hour-long effort at the end of a GT. I think that Vingegaard's Hautacam was very impressive but not more than best Pog efforts.

He is in a similar shape like 2021 and 2022. Pogacar has the ability to be in good shape during almost all year.
He's achieved enough he can control the scheduling and preserve his peak planning. That's an advantage that only a few riders can claim and he appears to plan accordingly. That's another reason not to spend alot of time at novelty races in the desert.
