Has Pogi got a chance at MSR this year? Before I thought it wasn't hard enough for him to drop the vans but with van Aert not there and van der Poel not having raced then he might have a chance with him looking so good! Though he wasn't even close to dropping van der Poel last year obviously as he was dropped after so maybe it is too much

He has a chance every time he does the race.

Still don't think just tempo on Poggio until the final bit is the way to beat a guy like MvdP.

But you can always be lucky and if the latter has a day off or starts Poggio in 900th position again.
What is the best way for Pogi to win in MSR then? Attacking earlier?

Attack Poggio when other big riders are boxed in probably, so first few corners maybe even. This obviously also depends on positioning and wind, etc. It's just very hard to imagine Pogacar straight up dropping MvdP if the latter is right on the suckwheel.

This really is history in the making.

One might be a Pogačar fan like myself or someone who thinks that he should just focus in the Grand Tours like Vingegaard does but its impossible for a cycling fan not to admire the ability that this man has of just winning almost all kinds of races in this sort of fashion. Truly Merckxian!
