Last years tourmalet and joux plane were notable improvements. He even said that he has improved on long climbs. Do you think jonas would win the tour if he had broken his bones 2 months before the tour(considering how meticulously he does his preparation)?
I'm not going to discussion that again.

About improvements from him in longer climbs, if he said that.....i was telling he was in a similar level on longer climbs compared with the previous years, because i usually check ammattipyoraily calculations and the calculations of engineer frederico portoleau on chronoswatts and the numbers are similar to the previous years in long climbs.

yes, 2.6. he goes to altitude, he doesn't have altitude before the Giro, what will altitude do to him before the Giro when he comes to the Giro to have fun, eat pasta and pizza, train for long climbs on altitude in the 3rd week of the Giro, he can light a cigarette on the hill and again they won't do anything to him these third-class GC contenders

He will go to altitude before Giro.

Pog will not have any special power bomb compared to 2023, he worked mostly on endurance and long climbs this winter, last year at this time he weighed 67 kg and this time 65, his only chance is to be a tailwind on Cippresa and Poggio and that Mcnulty breaks the peloton to 20-30 people on Cippresa and leads all the way to Poggio when Wellens takes over 1.5 km full throttle and then Pog attacks km to the finish on an 8-9% gradient in those 100m, but for something like that you need a very strong pace in the last 50km of the race
zone 2 is not bad, but it's bad if you only do that and nothing else, and now Pog training also has intervals, 4*4min, 40-20sec, 30-15sec, 2*2min, 20min, it has a proper plan for altitude, while before it was zone 2 and a 15 min FTP interval, he didn't do heat training before, now he's working on TT optimization, 5-6 new staff have been introduced in training, that's like you, my old friend, if you drove a Fiat Bravo until now and then you bought a new BMW 5

4min
2min
40-20's
30-15's
All watt bomb sessions.

So Pog under Milan's wing has been poorly trained until this year? Come on man.

Considering recent news about Teddy I think he'll attack on Turchino. If we include the shallow part it's a monster climb (25 km long). Not very steep (avg. gradient of 1.4%) but his superior w/kg should give him enough buffer to keep it in the remaining mere 150 km.

Jfc they could install a carrier, put Voigt on it to provide up close live commentary and he'd still win.
Which, along with the reduced climbing in this year's Giro and his lighter race schedule is why some of us hope Pogacar isn't cooked after the Giro and its still game on for a mano a mano fight with Vingegaard at the TdF. Pogacar just needs to arrive in July healthy with an uninterrupted season. Then it might be at least be interesting.

If he stays healthy and uninjured I think this will happen. Pogacar will keep us hoping until the elastic breaks in week 3 of the TdF. Stages 19 and 21 (TT) are where Vingo likely seals the win. Stage 19 includes the Bonette which is 2,800 metres before the MTF at Isola 2000.
