Teams & Riders Tadej Pogačar discussion thread

Which is a circumstance that is not positive for a leveled discussion. I could also claim to have data for rising interest rates and you could choose to believe it or not, but it could hardly be considered as evidence for my claims.

The data would be immensely interesting and I would love to see them. Until then I of course do not trust any numbers given by anyone, because it would make me look and feel unintelligent.

The discussion is "fun" but beware of the bias it can impose.

did you fall off your chair in disbelief, should you call an ophthalmologist to check how your eyesight is...

I think it is best to just enjoy it for what it is, if not then just take it easy and relax. Dont pay it too much attention. (Not saying that is not what you are doing, just saying it in general)

Of couse, it is all good fun. Some people dont see it that way, but everyone is different and it is a good thing.

so how would it be if I just published the data and that's it, this is how you spice up the story a little, create hype, wake people up and interest them, some think it's a charlatan, some think is it possible?, and some think everything that @mou publishes is true, so people if I publish it all that is true about Pog, complete information, the UAE would send a killer to liquidate me, I have to add a little somewhere, take away a little, exaggerate a little and read the post by @Salvarani from a while ago and everything will be clear to you💯

Fake news, not even Naichaca would say that.

He did 6.3/6.4 w/kg on that section.

At least this time you didn't said 8.5 w/kg.
You're going to need to wait for more data to challenge @mou's claims. This was a single ascent in horrid weather, in the context of the argument the w/kg here are irrelevant.

The fact that Pog excels in rain and cold is also irrelevant, he was soaking wet wearing a skinsuit and no gloves @ 2000m in March. If you've ever ridden a high mountain pass in horrible weather you'd understand this yourself. I did the Aspen and Tourmalet in August and even the top of Aspen @1500m was absolutely freezing, to the point I couldn't feel my hands. Those kind of conditions are going to have a detrimental effect on anyone's numbers as your core is trying to maintain temperature you are naturally going to have less power.

Completely agree! If you've ever ride in real cold you know what it means. Nobody - not even Pog - will set power PBs in those circumstances

Great post.

It is pretty clear that some posters will take any opportunity to try to discredit @mou... even when Pog puts on a great performance and destroys the field in terrible conditions. They expect a certain amount of w/kg every time now, which @mou hasnt claimed he will do every time either and Pog will of course only do what he has to do on most occasions.

It is tedious and energy wasted from other posters but I guess fragile egos, jealousy, spite and envy will do that to some people... instead of enjoying the show and the races, which is quite sad.

@Salvarani it doesn't affect me, I enjoy the "fight" with the haters, I'm dying of laughter, so just take it easy, and those of you who follow the story that started before the Strada Bianche, enjoy what's to come, and that's great things for real Pog fans😉
PS, there is no need for you to defend me and get into a fight with wicked inferior haters, but if you feel the need, then step on them

LISAN AL GAIB!!!

Realistically, we will not know how Pogacar compares to Vingegaard until July. Pogacar looks to be the strongest he's ever been, but Vingegaard is also stronger than he was at this point of the season in 2022 or 2023. Both are obviously two or three steps beyond any GC competitor. I like Pogacar, and also like the fact that if he wins this Tour he'll focus on other goals, so I hope he wins this summer, but I wouldn't be surprised if Vingo pulls it off.

we don't know what the power relationship is between them, because Vingo drove his mother-in-law to get a manicure, went to buy his wife a formal dress for her 10-year graduation on the same day as Strade, so he had to postpone Strade Bianche, it doesn't matter that he is afraid of Pog on all possible fields except on Tour, our hero Vingo is not a scary guy😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉

name me one race in the calendar but the entire calendar that is not the Tour and that you think that Vingo has at least a 20% chance against Pog, come on heroes let me see you. So how can he be the best when he avoids Pog all year and competes in races where he is not and only on the Tour there is a duel, imagine that Federer played only Wimbledon all these years and avoided Nadal and Dokovic all year and in the end who is better, the one who is 1st in the ATP rankings or the one who wins wimbledon

You really write some pathetic things at times. Why not keep things civil and without the crazy exaggerations. Then the posters you want to "shake up" would maybe take you more serious. I have a hard time getting hyped by your "information" when you are bordering bigot territory at times.

Did I state that I was canceling Strade Bianche because I hadn't seen my wife for 25 days and that he had to see her at least 2 days before Tireno, to spend some time with her and that's why he was canceling the race, or did he say that himself?

What's the head to head in one week stage races, is it 2-1 Pog? T-A 22 and P-N 23 vs Itzulia 21?

But anyway, nobody things Vingegaard is a better all round cyclist than Pogacar – nobody is! Just a question of who is the better GT rider, which we won't really have answered until the only GT in which they both compete. It's a tautology, but it's also a useless discussion anyway.
