It's going to be exciting seeing Remco MvDP and Pog in the same one day race. I can't see Remco matching Pog's 1 min power though.Surely Remco is the massive favorite, right?

a new level is being prepared, Javier Sola is dosing it properly, everything is under control, as long as he does not pick up any disease now in these catastrophic conditions in CataloniaT
Tbh he better persists with this level for the giro. The giro guys can't handle this level let alone another level🤣
Realistically, we will not know how Pogacar compares to Vingegaard until July. Pogacar looks to be the strongest he's ever been, but Vingegaard is also stronger than he was at this point of the season in 2022 or 2023. Both are obviously two or three steps beyond any GC competitor. I like Pogacar, and also like the fact that if he wins this Tour he'll focus on other goals, so I hope he wins this summer, but I wouldn't be surprised if Vingo pulls it off.

Won’t matter if he’s ahead 10+ mins at that point.I still maintain that a GT is a different beast, even if he gets a decent lead early on and then decides to step back from the attacks. The battle for 2nd and 3rd place will make it so that there will be attacks that the UAE team won't be able to prevent all the time, and so keeping wheels will still use a lot of energy.

What a loser this guy Pogacar...View: https://twitter.com/ammattipyoraily/status/1415368106034319371
Pogacar didn't evolve in long climbs since 2021, right? That's a big problem, he continues to suffer in altitude.
He already did a bit better than today in the past, like in Portet. He didn't improved in long climbs.
You talked about 6.5 w/kg in +30 min climb, and he can barely do 6 w/kg.
Maybe at least he improved in 15/20 min effort this year, i'm waiting for the stage of saturday to see that on Queralt.

Coullolle is a s*** perfomance for everybody. There was a strong headwind. Even gaudu finished with Pogacar. Pogacar, gaudu and vingegaard couldn't even be more faster than the peloton of the mercantour classic in 2021, on the same climb.I wrote Vallter 2000 vs Coulille 2023,spring 2023 climb vs spring 2024 climb
Why are we putting that much emphasis on a climb in Catalunya where he anyway easily dominated the field and which is absolutely no goal for him? There will be other tests this year for “new” Pogacar.View: https://twitter.com/ammattipyoraily/status/1415368106034319371

Froomie just dont want to give up... its very fitting isnt it?Why are we putting that much emphasis on a climb in Catalunya where he anyway easily dominated the field and which is absolutely no goal for him? There will be other tests this year for “new” Pogacar.

If you want to use the gap to the others as a measure, then it becomes very subjective. How do you rate the opposition? What is there current form? The w/kg numbers are not much better, but still I think just a little less subjective.Once again with the obsession with W/kg numbers when you should pay attention how far ahead of the field he is instead.
If they did Lo Port with 15 degrees and a tailwind tomorrow on Unipuerto stage everyone would be screaming
There are many things to consider to paint the most accurate picture of the situation. If you want to use the gap to the others as a measure, then it becomes very subjective. We can also compare the gaps between cristian Rodriguez, tiberi, wout poels on TA to vingegaard, with gaps between them and Pogacar in the last 2 days, even if the climbs were shorter on TA.If you want to use the gap to the others as a measure, then it becomes very subjective. Agreed, no on should take any of it as "facts".There are many things to consider to paint the most accurate picture of the situation.
Just taking the numbers at face-value, ignoring other important factors, wont make you get to the correct conclusion.
Keep putting the hard posts in Froomie! You will get there. We can also compare the gaps between cristian Rodriguez, tiberi, wout poels on TA to vingegaard, with gaps between them and Pogacar in the last 2 days, even if the climbs were shorter on TA.
Watts per kilo fluctuate much more than performance compared to competition. You get stuff like 2022 Granon being not that impressive and other insane takes. If you want to use the gap to the others as a measure, then it becomes very subjective. How do you rate the opposition? There is always outliers, but the riders and teams put a whole lot of stock in numbers these days, maybe there is a reason.Watts per kilo fluctuate much more than performance compared to competition. You get stuff like 2022 Granon being not that impressive and other insane takes.
You mean the same riders Pog is getting close to putting the same time Vingegaard did in 3 days instead of 7?We can also compare the gaps between cristian Rodriguez, tiberi, wout poels on TA to vingegaard, with gaps between them and Pogacar in the last 2 days, even if the climbs were shorter on TA.
