Whatever I say some die hard fans and forum members will criticize me for saying it, but unless he wins the Tour de France again is not coming back there. And that would be to just put it into consideration just because Pogacar is kind of unpredictable. But without the third Tour, I just don't see it.

the most important parameter in the world of cycling is whether you can keep the same w/kg after 3-4-5 hours of an ultra-hard pace(4500 kilo jules after 4 hour in the race) before last hill, as if you were doing it fresh in training, Pog and little Morgado will jump out compared to the others from the UAE and Morgado will be one of Pog best assistants in the future, of course Pog does w/kg at an elite level, but Morgado has a great engine for a 20-23 year old boy.

You could certainly see the potential engine of Morgado today as he came more and more to the forefront of the race the longer it went on and the whole field fatigued.

Disagree. Pog is a rain master. For sure the whole race dynamic would have been different with Pog vs MVDP rather than MVDP vs the world so you can’t fully translate it but I don’t see anyone dropping Pogacar on the Koppenberg there unless he gets blocked in any way.
Assuming Pogacar would’ve launched 2nd Kwaremont as he usually does, I highly doubt there would’ve been more than a small handful of riders going onto the Koppenberg. Unlikely anyone gets blocked then and it turns into a completely different race.

Alberto is very well recognized by his offensive style, but what me impressed most on Alberto Contador was how he always defended so well the leader jersey in every race he conquered.
Yes, thats right. Has he ever lost a leaderjersey except in paris nice 2009?
I like Valverde but his racingstyle cost him a lot of wins and fans. If i just think about the Amstel Gold Race and GDL, he could have won these races in many editions if he did not just sit in the wheels an d just made a move himself.

What impressed me most about Contador was his riding under adversity - like 2011 TdF. He never died wondering and frankly was an inspiration to bike racers everywhere.
The last week of the Tour de France 2011 was just amazing, especially stage 19. I think that Andy Schleck could have won the tour that day if he had worked with Contador on the Galibier. The last stage of paris nice in 2016 and 2017 were incredible too and summarise very good the last years of his carreer.

I think Andy was empty after the epic day before. Many were tipping Frank to do something on stage 19 but he was also at his limits. The reason why was Contador. At one point on stage 19, some in this forum thought he could actually steal the TdF, the Giro and humanity brought him back to earth.

After his ban I think Contador was even more attacking. To me Pogi is the new Contador.

Yes, but Pogacar is even better. But Contador has something magic you cant explain.

Yes, those last couple of Paris Nice were most memorable, despite the second places. I'm sure even Alberto would acknowledge some pride in those efforts and outcomes.
