Issue for Pog is if he can restrain himself a bit during week 1 and 2, so that he is relatively fresh in week 3 when Vingego is usually very strong. Or will he try another tactic, try to break Vingego (and Remco and Rogla) during the first half of the tour so they give up battling for first spot? That is a gamble if it doesn't work, because then he might have spent too much energy and will be less fresh in the 3rd week, opening up for Vingego to take time on him.

Doubt he will go out to aggressively win solo in stage 1. If the stage itself is raced aggressively and there is a group of 30-40 at the finish then he will obviously sprint and could win it that way. Will be interesting to see just how much dominance UAE try to exert the first couple of stages.
