Is one between Ayuso and Almeida willing to sacrifice himself on the first two San Luca? If not pog needs to hope in Bora because the team wasn't really convincing yesterday.

Ayuso and almeida are toxic personalities i wish
next year we could see the atmosphere in the bus after yesterdays stage on netflix. It was clear that once his turn was coming up ayuso goes to the back bluffing to be dropped by a tratnik pace 🤬

He might be ill for real it has been reported the covid thing on him so he might need a week . I dont know.

We really don't know why UAE didn't continue to push the pace yesterday efter Sivakov was done.
Maybe Ayuso was a bit cooked because of the heat, he sure didn't look superfresh.
And start using superdoms like Almedia and Yates so early in the tour and in a phase of the stage when the climbs left weren't that hard, maybe not that smart.

I think they rode Barbetto hard just to see how the others felt. When they all had no problem... they aborted.

It was still a long way to the finish from there. It would have been dumb and futile to go all out for little gain.

Today is a better opportunity to get a few seconds, with a shorter effort that more has to do with explosiveness and acceleration.

Kind of agree, but I also suspect that they might have aborted because they noticed Ayuso struggling a bit. Sivakov starts pacing the 3rd last climb for about 1k, then he just stops and Visma LAB takes over. Ayuso is then among the last in the bunch. Did Visma take over because Ayuso was struggling a bit or was is it because they wanted to start limiting the time to the break for van Aert?

B/c ayuso doesn't wanna s*** his gc chance working early. If it was the giro team, everyone knows their job and would pull like animals. I would say pog would atleast test jonas if not ride away.

And you said to me i was just creating "chaos" last week, when i spoke about the problems of bring ayuso, yates and almeida together. Ayuso and almeida hid in the peloton yesterday, to not work.
They still didn't create anything. Yesterday wasn't the day, we will have a clear picture on stage 4. I didn't say that because of yesterday, I said because he raced Amstel, FW and DNS Liège because Pogacar was there.

Its too many cooks in the kitchen, 4 riders wanting to do top 5 in the gc is a suicidal approach to any race let alone the tdf.

Ayuso wad bad yesterday not disloyal
So you wanted him to just sit in the middle of the bunch ignoring the instrucion when pog needs him to do the last pace? We know that interms of hierarchy and strength both yates and almeida are stronger than him. So after sivakov finishes his pace he has to bluff not too kill his gc chances working 30km to go. Its for a reason he either dnfs or withdraw himself from any race pog does.

During the Tour mods @Armchair cyclist are up to the gills with ludicrous posts, but better start now thinning out threads of pointless spins. Yes, I'm all in for banning duh posts and their respective posters. One is annoying but you add several droplets and soon you have a flash flood of posts that are not useful, funny, helpful.

Take Almeida. Some users saw him out of the UAE train and are already making conclusions regarding their toxic personalities or hidind strategies like 3-year olds staring at the riddle of tic-tac-toe game. This derails the thread, adds noise and makes my brain hurt.

What does Almeida himself says though? He says that "his ambitions are not important":

Yes, mods, please ban negative posts about Almeida (I haven‘t seen any)!
Same and regarding Ayuso some brought up that was a legimate concern from many going into the Tour for Pogacar I dont see any harm in that, its totally relevant to Pogacar and the race for Pogacar this Tour.

Pogacar would be better served with Mcnulty and Del toro/Majka instead of ayuso and Almeida. Mcnulty showed in the Tour 2022 how great he is as a super domestique.

Clearly ayuso and Almeida were faking/doing bluff, it doesn't matter what they will say in the interviews. On the road, things are very different.

How can Almeida be in the middle/back of the peloton when Soler and Sivakov were pushing? Nobody believes he is in trouble with the pacing of Soler and Sivakov.

Ayuso wasn't in trouble, otherwise he would get dropped, and it didn't happened. He was behind Sivakov, and when he saw he was going to be the first sacrificed, he dropped to the back of the peloton.

One thing is right on what Pogacar said. He can only trust in yates.

Ive never concluded that I just think its a legimate concern and topic that is valid. I havent concluded at all its chaos this early at all by any means, just that its a legimate concern and relevant topic nothing else.

Well, maybe you didn't, but others did and it's stupid.
I dont think so if your curious I think he is ill and not 100% and a nothing burger but my point was only that this is relevant to Pogacar and Pogacars Tour de france. People had concerns about this going in that was all I meant.

Don't give importance to the interviews. What is more important is the actions in the road.
But he races always like this in hilly races. Today is the same, he will not help Pogacar because he can't position himself. If he doesn't work on stage 4, I will start to question his loyalty (and Ayuso too).
