Pogacar has 3 TDF and 1 Giro, including a double this year, winning 6 stages in each GC.

If you want to compare Remco with him, go ahead.

I like Remco, he did an awesome feat yesterday, but the gap between him and Pogacar is massive.

You can mock all you want, but Remco is not winning any Grand Tour Pogacar is competing.

But of course he can fight for scraps in the GT Pogi decides not to run.

It doesn’t take anything away from him, he is a great great rider. But he is no Pogacar.
Time will tell, hopefully he is allowed by Urska to race.

Oh mate, you are just blatantly trolling right now.
Not really, I find Lombardia at the end of the season to have more riders that are just at the end of their ropes. Less great riders than at MSR-LBL.

I’ve always found this, had nothing to do with Pogacar

The difference is Lombardia cannot be won if you are not a climber so almost 80% of classic riders are not able to compete there.

That’s also true, but Valverde also never won Lombardia, which had more to do with him being too tired at the end of the season, as are a lot of other riders.

Yes… I have nothing against Pogi, he’s the best rider in the world. I used to be a Nibali fan. Rather have him win one LBL instead of 2 Lombardia, although then we wouldn’t have had that amazing descent.

Yeah, major wins are set in stone in the cycling world, but good for you that you think you can have your own opinion on that...

Reminds me of when Koronin said that in her eyes, the Tour of California was more important than the Tour de France.

I get it’s a monument, but if I ask you to rank the monuments and WC you probably have a rank for yourself what you deem the most important win.

Valverde almost never won a WC, in fact he was chasing that gold for 15 years. That doesn't mean he was tired or didn't peak for that race. Of course riders are tired in october but Valverde tried to win Lombardia at least 4/5 times and he never did it because Lombardia is/was way more chaotic than LBL (back in the days of Valverde's dominance). He won a couple of reduced sprints, however there was always a climber who got away in a climb/descent somewhere in this race.

When you look at the winners of Lombardia you don’t see only climbers. Gilbert won it twice…

But now more than ever, it is a race for climbers. A decade ago, they changed the route. But of course, we had non climbers to win this race but if we look to the last 10 years, this race is always won by climbers

Here's a big difference between Pog and Remco: Pog can win any race that he enters; Remco can't.

Pog has a good chance at winning Paris-Roubaix; Remco, not so much.

Remco does what he does very well but come on, he's not the next Merckx.
Pogacar can't win every race he enters, since he can't win the world championships TT for example, against Remco.

Besides that, Pogacar needed a pneumotorax, collarbone, broken ribs by Vingegaard in April to win the Tour again. So, he can't win really win every race he enters.

He never beat a healthy Vingegaard in the Tour.
