Right, but Visma was high on life that they were dropping UAE doms that stage till 5km to go.Almeida drops early but he always come back. He is very reliable and can put a high tempo for long minutes.

They will just help Pogacar if they work in stage 14They are not gonna wait for stage 18. The least thing they will try to do is accumulate fatigue in the Pyrenees. Fairly sure they will want to control at least one of them 2 stages.
Isn't that about the time Tadej acts like Elvis?Agreed. Almeida was somewhat helpful but despite finishing high on the one stage that another team (Visma) set the pace he was dropped early.
I can see situations where Vingegaard has Kuss, S. Yates and Jorgenson while Pogacar only has Adam. Of course, Almeida will probably finish 4th or something but that doesn't help.
Pogacar is still young and entering into his peak age AND Pogacar is 1 year in with a new coach, everyone who knows a little bit about it, knows usually after the 1 year the real progress starts cause you need that in order to fully benefit and adapt from the new program. We're getting to the 8w/kilo slowly but surely🤩
Well everybodys saying visma has simon, matteo& kuss so uae are in trouble. imagine mcnulty rediscovers his 2022 tdf form with sola & rides with only pog & ving in his wheel 😝Visma is stronger than UAE. Simon Yates has a higher ceilling than Adam. In fact I am expecting Simon to get back his 2018 level in Visma. If we add Matteo and a good Kuss, UAE is gonna be in troubles.
I'm afraid for the cycling community & broadcasters going forward to 2026 b/c in 2025 pog will be a dictator he will win all races he participates in & after the season ends cycling will be left alone to pog fans & we will be the only ones who will subscribe for eurosport.Pogacar is still young and entering into his peak age AND Pogacar is 1 year in with a new coach, everyone who knows a little bit about it, knows usually after the 1 year the real progress starts cause you need that in order to fully benefit and adapt from the new program.
And thats without even taking into account Pogacars physiological ceiling which is extraordinary and nothing like weve seen before. I still dont think even after watching it that the WC race really happened like it did.
Buckle up, were in for many history lessons going forward.
Don't underestimate Jonas. Pogacar had an incredible level in 2022 but he won few important racesI'm afraid for the cycling community & broadcasters going forward to 2026 b/c in 2025 pog will be a dictator he will win all races he participates in & after the season ends cycling will be left alone to pog fans & we will be the only ones who will subscribe for eurosport.
Some say this. But they will wait to celebrate a young start up who can occasionally pip a win from pogi. And there’s always a demented weirdo to emerge from the crowd to punch Merckx for winning too much. But if all plays out to potential, we get to witness history in the sport. His dominance will attract new viewers who wish to understand what is unfoldingI'm afraid for the cycling community & broadcasters going forward to 2026 b/c in 2025 pog will be a dictator he will win all races he participates in & after the season ends cycling will be left alone to pog fans & we will be the only ones who will subscribe for eurosport.
The problem for the old school audience is he is only starting as mvdp said pogs era has only started. I heard pog saying the other day "i have a structured training this days" reflecting on his recent off season which implies he didn't have it the years before. I cant see anybody catching him the next five years as the goat mou said his base level this season will be lombardia of last season😝 but if any psycho has the gut to punch my 🐐 he better soon get to his mothers wombSome say this. Comparing Pog to 22 to now im not sure you paid attention of what has happened but its galaxys apart.Don't underestimate Jonas. Pogacar had an incredible level in 2022 but he won few important races
NO way anyone actually folllowing cycling seriously said that?Well everybodys saying visma has simon, matteo& kuss so uae are in trouble. imagine mcnulty rediscovers his 2022 tdf form with sola & rides with only pog & ving in his wheel 😝
I'm a Pogi fan btwComparing Pog to 22 to now im not sure you paid attention of what has happened but its galaxys apart.
And Vingegaard won many races that year of importance outside tdf? Was it the 16 place in lombardia who did it for you?
Your fascination for this guy after he has beaten Pogacar when he was hurt when even Roglic and others would too is crazy and I would say you shouldnt overestimate if anything. He is good indeed in GT second best for sure atm goes without saying, but its levels to this, and I dont think anyone is underestimating him but still its levels to this, if Pogi boy is close to 100% its not remotely close not cause i say so but from any standpoint in any numbers in every terrain in literally every metric its not even remotely close. Doesnt mean your boy Vingegaard isnt good cause he is. so relax.
Yes, but sometimes a little too negative about Pogacar's prospects IMO. Always talking up Vingegaard and downplaying Pogi. That's why you have been forced to remind us you are a Pogi fan. Surely 2024 erased all doubts? Of course we all wait for the 2025 rematch when both will be optimally prepared but based upon what we saw this season I can't see the best ever Vingegaard getting near Pogacar fresh with no Giro in his legs.I'm a Pogi fan btw
I know. Its okei to disagree on something though, all good. I would share a beer with everyone here regardless and have a blast, besides 3 schizo/delusional ppl.I'm a Pogi fan btw
I need names!besides 3 schizo/delusional ppl.
No names no need for that. None on this 898 page thoughI need names!
No mate. In my opinion you are underestimating Vingegaard. I still remember he had an awful crash 12 weeks before the Tour. Saying Vingegaard is a threat and can compete mano a mano with Pogi is not saying anything negative about Pogacar.Yes, but sometimes a little too negative about Pogacar's prospects IMO. First of all, Vingegaard is not my boy but can I appreciate his tremendous level? For me, the only rider who put Pogacar on the ropes and made him a better rider.Comparing Pog to 22 to now im not sure you paid attention of what has happened but its galaxys apart.

I agree that with his crash in basque the level ving showed at the tour is nothing short of remarkable & i have a lot of respect for that but if we look back to pogs 2023 crash & compare it with vings crash this year, ving had extra 3 weeks more to prepare for the tour. Ving rode outdoor for the 1st time on may 7 whereas pog rode for the 1st time on may 27. Considering these situations pog competed better and was mostly stronger in the 1st 2 weeks in 2023 tour but this year ving was constantly getting beaten(except stage 11) while doing career best watts. But saying all that both showed the last 2 years that they are super talents of this generationNo mate. In my opinion you are underestimating Vingegaard. I think Vingegaard can beat Pogacar again and you are free to disagree.
But one thing I am sure is: the gap between the best GT rider (Pogi) and the second best (Vingegaard) is smaller (and by a significant margin) than the gap between the best one day rider and the second best (MVP or Remco. In my opinion is MVP).
