In terms of what pogi could do at P-R I look at a few things. Some here like to talk about weight and even mou speaks of weight a bit in relationship to performance. I’ve seen some pros suggest weight might not be prohibitively to pogi being competitive if not dominate.
But look at the gravel stage of the tour last year. If it were a one day race could anyone seriously hang with pogi and all of his cards on the table? Vingo had to use some watts with Jorgensen in front of him to stay on terms. Gravel = cobbles? I get it but power is power.
Also, Hinault and even lemond did well in P-R compared to so called heavier guys. Specialists have t really tried in the modern era. Look at pidcock at P-R; not terrible in relationship to his typical performances
