Yeah, me too. Probably he will ride it only if he’ll win MSR and Flanders. That’d give him chance to win 5 monuments in one year.

He'd be the actual winner of the 5 monuments plus World Champion for 2 weeks.
Not that I believe it will happen, just a chance for something that is unlikely to be repeated.

Well, probably for even more. Assuming he wins PR, he would have to win LBL to extend this for the next two months and in opposition to PR there almost isn’t any scenario beside crash he loses LBL.
Also he could become actual winner of 5 monuments, Giro, Tour and of course actual WC.

The first time I saw GW in his schedule I thought that he was leaving the door open for Roubaix.

But I see him miss Amstel and FW if..

There isnt a new TT bike as far as I know atleast. They only dropped a new aero bike, Y1RS, they will continue to ride the TT1 time trial bike. Unless you mean modifications/setup etc.

As others have mentioned, I think it will depend on winning MSR and RVV.

What if we think a bit bolder: If Pogi manages to win MSR and Flanders... he should try Paris-Roubaix. If he wins all three, he'll also get LBL and Lombardia!!! He will be the first cyclist in history to win all five monuments in one season. That would be unforgettable. If he doesn't win Paris-Roubaix, he'll still have four monuments... and still hold the record... because only Eddy Merckx has three monuments in the same year. So, our Tadej is once again on the path to eternity... HALL OF FAME - GOAT!!!

Why should Sanremo matter for riding Roubaix?

IMO the only thing that matters is how fatigued you are after RVV and if you're risking Liege. But he wins Liege if he wakes up from a 6 day binge drinking coma as well

Because winning San Remo gives him (probably) once of a life time chance to win all the monuments (and WC to be honest) in the same year. IMHO that would be the biggest factor to go there.

Kind of but that time it was genuine tour cobbled stage recon whereas this year there are no other flat cobbles on his schedule to prep for.

MSR is can be a recipe race (see Merckx's pattern). If Pogi solves it, he can rinse and repeat until organizers change the course. His remaining three options are a ridiculously long solo (pick anywhere up the road that he can get a split), Cipressa solo, or jump out from the selection from the finish stretch.
