UAE wasn't working. I can agree on Langaen if you are talking about giving bottles to his teammates.
They worked for the team though...

Novak likely did that as well and was pulling for a while going into the Capos. Then his job was done for the day.

You will always need two guys like that, in this race, and they are reliable at doing just that.

Problem was that Narvaez, Del Toro and to some regard Pog got lost in the chaotic run-in to Cipressa. Politt kind of disappeared.

Wellens was the only one at the front going in and did his job. He had most likely been given instructions to start to pull from the bottom. While Pog and Narvaez made their way to the front. Then Narvaez just didnt have enough left to pull for as long, as they would have lilked. Del Toro just too far behind. Something that will always be a risk, hence the run-in is crucial. Like look what happened to Pidcock.

I feel like we wont agree, so there is no point in this.

The selection and tactics was it, but there are small details that has to align.

Novak did not work a lot in MSR. He is in bad shape, maybe preparing for the Ardennes.

I disagree and there is no way in proving that as the whole race wasnt broadcasted. He was also pulling before they reached the Capos, so he did infact work and probably helped the others during the race.

If thats all you want to point out, then there really is no point.

You need two guys like them in the team for this race. Solid and reliable, before the real racing begins.

It is my opinion. We can disagree and respect each other's opinion.

Sagan didn't have a Pogacar in his era. VDP has. So if he wants to be declared the best classics rider, he should race all monuments.

And Strade is a very famous race nowadays. He is a former winner. He should ride it, being a CX and MTB god.
Luckily, you don't get to decide who should race what.
You can still easily make a case for Pogacar being the best classics rider without resorting to (the quite absurd) argument that Mathieu is "hiding". Was Pogacar "hiding" all those times he didn't ride Paris Roubaix? Of course not.
You're also conveniently ignoring the fact Mathieu does cx during the winter.

As I said, it's my opinion.

You can like it or not, but I think you should respect it.

I think footage shows Politt caught behind the crash. For some reason the organizers cannot deliver us footage of that run in to the Cipressa, Yet have a drone chasing the racers the descent after the poggio. The race is right there!

Next year, UAE has to be on their LEFT side of the road heading into the bottleneck. It appears to yield better positioning.

ETA: changed left with right side of the road for positioning. I can't tell the difference on my own hands!

Going forward for the next 3-4 years (god willing), Pogi should contest all 5 monuments and 2 GT per year, and when suitable the WC and Olympics.

None of this shared leadership stuff. Everyone who pins a number on makes the race as hard as possible before pulling the pin for the day.
And the good thing regarding the Worlds: the next 3 editions are tailored made for him.

Imagine if he can win 4 Worlds in a row. Madness.

I think the second GT will be optional for him.

Not sure he will do cobbles every year either. He will alternate a bit I think.
