He is on his way to have the best season ever for the second season in a row.
Yes, he was a sore loser today. Even his parents are saying that without the crash, he would have won.He could be sick but why tell only after he got his @$$ kicked? If he wasn't 100%, don't race or don't cry right after you got destroyed.
Last time kwaremont 3:07 for pog unbelievable level🥵 after all the attacks & after 250kms of intense racing breaking koppenberg & kruisberg koms in the process. This is one of the greatest performance i've ever seen🙌 . How does the dutch guy believe he could beat this beast if he wasn't sick after E3? It took him 3:00 to climb kwaremont in a lot easier race last weekHe could be sick but why tell only after he got his @$$ kicked? If he wasn't 100%, don't race or don't cry right after you got destroyed.
Ouch, this loss was really hard to swallow for the Van Der Poel Family.Yes, he was a sore loser today. Even his parents are saying that without the crash, he would have won.
So I think they should talk to each other to match the excuses.
What was his time?Just imagine if Pog would have had the leadout that was planned for 2nd Kwaremont. We are talking 2:40 then!
In yaf2 post above it says he did 2:49 2nd time Kwaremont. And to me he seemed to go hard but not all out. What was his time?
I'm very impressed with his time on Koppenberg. Jesus Christ!
I think this race plays out the same way 10/10 times regardless of leadout or KOM's. I can't see Pogi staying away only until after the final Kwaremont. Though I'd like to see him try.Just imagine if Pog would have had the leadout that was planned for 2nd Kwaremont. We are talking 2:40 then!
And probably the wisest thing to do, wear them down on Kwaremont, Paterberg, Koppenberg, Taaienberg, Kruisberg and then deliver the final blow on last Kwaremont.I think this race plays out the same way 10/10 times regardless of leadout or KOM's. I can't see Pogi staying away only until after the final Kwaremont. Though I'd like to see him try.
No one will drop him but unfortunately he needs to drop everyone to win the race.
He is on his way to become the record holder in 3 monuments.
I don't think so. The race would be even harder.I think this race plays out the same way 10/10 times regardless of leadout or KOM's. I can't see Pogi staying away only until after the final Kwaremont. Though I'd like to see him try.
Rui OliveiraAmazing how he was still able to pull it off after his team being struck hard by the crashes. Team didnt have any luck at all, but got on with it.
Was very impressed by Morgado. Bjerg and Pollitt were huge. Veermeersch made it back also.
Shame with Wellens now likely missing PR. Wonder who will replace him.
Probably. Him or Laengen feels most likely.Rui Oliveira
I am not too sure on Herregodts. He is more for hillier races, I think.UAE's team for PR:
Pogi
Politt
Veermersch
Rui
Herregodts
Bjerg
I think these 6 are locked in.
Wellens and Narvaez are out. Morgado, I don't know...
I think second group syndrom just starts earlier.Hindsight BS, but you have to wonder if Mathieu just should have tried not to follow Pog on Koppenberg. It was clear that Pog was working him over. Let Pog dangle out there, maybe he tries to go all the way from Koppenberg. Work with Visma and Trek, save some power.
Sure, that's not the mentality MvdP has and it's hard to think that way during all out effort. But on forums one can speculate.![]()
Its gonna be really hard to beat pog in flanders as it is hard to beat vdp in msrThis talk of being sick just earned MVP another date with Pogi at Ronde 2026
It is different. MSR is a tactical race not RVV.Its gonna be really hard to beat pog in flanders as it is hard to beat vdp in msr
