prayer on Holy Week lets all join hands in solemn reflection on the eve of the battle in hell. May no one catch the Pogflu. Amen
Yeah it’s hard to fathom the jump in performances tho between 2023 and 2024. Looking at Watts2Win, top 2020-2024 performances were getting better, but incrementally.Pogacar was also climbing his best performances ever in the Tour 2023.
There's MSR for thatIt would be good for cycling if he didn't make it yet. So that he comes back. His team certainly doesn't like him riding because of the risk of injury and doesn't want him to do it every year. It could also keep Pogi's motivation high if he continues to have open goals.
And people will talk that Pogi just raced farmers (like De Lie) so he can't be GOAT.vdp is salty today in 20 years he is gonna shittalk next generation, how unbetable pog was .just like roger, lmao.
I believe that in both cases, the limited preparation was dedicated to achieving peak performance, but they failed to develop endurance. With optimal preparation, they would have achieved similar power data, but without any drop in performance over the 21 days.As has now been pointed out ad nauseam, in the 2024 Tour data shows Vingegaard climbed the best we have ever seen him at PdB at the start of the 3rd week. So better than he climbed at Granon in the 2022 Tour and better than on Loze in the 2023 Tour. In the final Nice TT he still came second after three weeks of racing and even beat Remco. Not bad for bad prep?
You can mount an argument bad prep started costing Vingegaard on the last three stages. But with normal prep I don't see him closing the enormous gap - he would still be below Pogacar's new level in GTs. It means with good prep Vingegaard would still have lost the Tour by maybe 3 minutes instead of 6.
Pogi is a showman!Pogi inspires the spectator. The way he drives. The way he attacks. And although he almost always wins, he is still likeable.
But if he will win Paris-Roubaix the first time he starts there, there would be almost nothing left that he hasn't already won.

What does that mean?Yeah it’s hard to fathom the jump in performances tho between 2023 and 2024. Looking at Watts2Win, top 2020-2024 performances were getting better, but incrementally.

I dont really know to be honest. Probably methodology on here somewhere. https://watts2win.eu/What does that mean?
Finally the big day arrived! C'mon Tadej, this is where your greatness can be shown
It will be big shock if MVP and WVA are dropped bu PogacarI still feel like its going to be very hard to shake off MvDP and WVA. But whats for sure is that as long as he is not crashing, he will give them hell
Yup and pray for no crashes.Paris Roubaix baby😝 This is the hardest race day of the season for pogi. Everything should fall in to place for him to have a chance of winning. Lets go for it👊
What about MSR? Probably more hard for him.Paris Roubaix baby😝 This is the hardest race day of the season for pogi.
Will be hard but just seeing him be competitive would mean a lot for the future!Paris Roubaix baby😝 This is the hardest race day of the season for pogi. Everything should fall in to place for him to have a chance of winning. Lets go for it👊
No, in msr his only problem is vdp and it only needs for vdp to either not participate in the race or be out of position on cipressa but here in roubaix there are also pedersen, wva, ganna, philipsen... Its really difficult to get away from this guys in a pure power test instead of a watts/kilo test + there is a weight factor in roubaix which favours the bigger guys when it comes to riding comfortably on high speeds on cobbles + this is his first participation in the race. What about MSR? Probably more hard for him.
Yup, he knows the recipe to win MSR right now. PR is still a question mark. No, in msr his only problem is vdp and it only needs for vdp to either not participate in the race or be out of position on cipressa but here in roubaix there are also pedersen, wva, ganna, philipsen... I think this should be his first race where he should play smart ofc there are different factors that play in this race but if uae are lucky to have 3 riders in a 15 man group after arenberg and if alpecine is only left with vdp & philipsen then pog is in a great situation as vdp is now the one who should be the aggressive and that helps pog and if somehow he is in the front in a 3 or 4 man group after final sector of cobbles he shouldn't work with themWill be hard but just seeing him be competitive would mean a lot for the future!
Dont know what to expect today.
Pogacar's legs will speak louder. A attritional race is better for Pogacar too.View: https://x.com/sporza_koers/status/1911333960308629906?t=IfuQ8mlpnpGLvrRWSnxLTQ&s=19
This only helps vdp with his cyclocross techniques
Vdp can take 2 secs per corner on such conditions. He doesn't even need to drop them with pure power he can drop them on the cornersPogacar's legs will speak louder. A attritional race is better for Pogacar too.
