He'll reach an all-time high after the Flèche Wallone. After that he has to win LBL again to keep the same amount of points. Then he'll unavoidably lose points, because he isn't doing the Giro like last year.

Vingegaard showed a similar level in some mountain stages when they both had their first duel (2021). Remco never showed any level similar to Pogacar in the mountains. You put Pogacar 2022 (TdF shape) against Remco 2022 (Vuelta shape) and Remco gets smoked. The difference is very big.
That comparison isn't real.People improve and can improve, you know?
Put Pogacar 2022 and Evenepoel 2024 and the difference isn't that big.
I never said that on 2024 level Evenepoel has a chance against Pogacar.
All I said was, and I quote myself, IF Pogacar doesn't reach his 2024 level (which is not a given) and if Evenepoel improves, which is possible, if not likely, then we MAY have a battle.
If Pogacar is able to reach his 2024 level, it's pretty much over. But there's no way we can know that.
You can't say that to conclude that Remco has the level of Pogacar in GT.
Not even Remco considers it
Some day, Pogi will be old and decline. Maybe he try winning everything and then retire.Where did I conclude something like that?
Why do you need to put imaginary things?
To prove your own theory that Pogacar is the master of the world and no one can reach a high enough level to fight him or what?
Possibly but we don't know until it happens. Just because a rider peaks earlier doesn't mean they automatically decline earlier. Seems clear already that Pogacar is an outlier. It's very likely that Remco and Pogacar at 30 won't be able to win a TDF, but they could win Liège and one-day efforts.
Drive on. Crashes and flats are part of the game.Pogi doesn't crash in P-R and is with MVP when he flats, does pogi wait or drive on?
You don't even think about Pogacar getting better but he (probably) will.People improve and can improve, you know?

Push on for sure. There's no waiting in P-R.Pogi doesn't crash in P-R and is with MVP when he flats, does pogi wait or drive on?
Is this only P-R though? or is this across all cobbled classics? or only certain 1 day races?Push on for sure. There's no waiting in P-R.
He should push on. MVDP flatted because he was riding a bit recklessly on Carrefour de l'Arbre (thought the time gap was much smaller than it was because he had no working radio). Pogacar crashed because he was reckless/handled the corner poorly. Same same.Push on for sure. There's no waiting in P-R.
He might as well just ride the vuelta this year. The circuit will be harder than this year's worlds. someone can tell me I'm wrong. But Pogi looks strongest on steep terrain over bumpy circuits.Looking at the Sallanches World Championships, when will Pogacar go to win the Vuelta?
They say next year's WC in Canada won't be the same circuit where Merckx won and Montreal GP, less hard.
Maybe 2026 would be the right year; this year in Rwanda, and at Sallanches Pogacar has a chance to win the World Championships.
In '80, less than 20 riders finished, insane circuit
Pogacar said becoming a two-time world champion was his mail goal.He might as well just ride the vuelta this year. The circuit will be harder than this year's worlds. someone can tell me I'm wrong. But Pogi looks strongest on steep terrain over bumpy circuits.
He’s younger, has been off the bike due to crashes more, and started racing at 17. Obviously there’s more room to improve for him. You don’t have to be a fan to see that, just use logic. This constant need of putting Remco alongside Jonas and Pogacar... he is not even a natural climber, but some people are expecting a higher improvement from him than an improvement from Pogacar and Vingegaard. Even if this happens, he still needs to close a huge hole, he lost constantly 1 and half minutes in the hard mountain stages. This is huge! We are not talking about 30/40 seconds.
You don't even think about Pogacar getting better but he (probably) will.
Did he say this though? I have not seen that. We all know he wants to win stuff, but he hasn't expressed any such thing that I noticed.Pogacar said becoming a two-time world champion was his mail goal.

Fair enough. Language is fitting."Defending the World Championship - this is my big wish."
