He was completely cooked and destroyed after the Tour.Maybe. He was sick with a cold in GdL, I personally don't think the form was there in the Italian classics and the less said about his 2023 WC ITT, the better.

What Pogacar should be angry about is seeing his teammates win every one-week race except the UAE Tour.
This year, he has had to bring forward his debut to do that *** race.
His season should´ve started at Strade Bianche like last year.
For a one-week race that they have to win to help him and it's the only one they haven't won these 3 years.
Next year, Ayuso will probably race there. Race is perfect for him. What Pogacar should be angry about is seeing his teammates win every one-week race except the UAE Tour.

They wanted to win and Pogacar is the world champion so a great opportunity to show the jersey.I think they've wanted to show their golden goose in the home race anyway.
Pogacar wanted to show his jersey in the classics, not in the desert.I think they've wanted to show their golden goose in the home race anyway.

As soon as I saw they didn't win the race last year, I assumed he'd have to do it this year, even if he hadn't won the world championship.
Sheiks don't care about classics. UAE Tour is their second biggest goal!Pogacar wanted to show his jersey in the classics, not in the desert.

Maybe next year, they send Almeida or Ayuso there. Both would win this year. They would want to show off the rainbow jersey in their home race anyway.
I didn't like that particular peace in his schedule either, but it's hard to get away.
If they had won the previous two years, he wouldn't have had to go.Sheiks don't care about classics. UAE Tour is their second biggest goal!
Remco went there and Yates fell in the other edition. If they had won the previous two years, he wouldn't have had to go.
His teammates win in all the stage races, but not the one they should have![]()
Yes, but McNulty and Vine, who have won mountain stages, failed in Jebel.Remco went there and Yates fell in the other edition.
Seriously, who the hell relies on McNulty and Vine to win a stage race? They are bad and for me 2 riders UAE need to not renew their contract. They are receiving a lot and don't perform.Yes, but McNulty and Vine, who have won mountain stages, failed in Jebel.

Yeah but let's hope it is the last time. It is cringe to see Pogacar in a break just to not suffer from detraining. UAE is a rich country, why they don't create artificial climbs? No, he would probably have to go showing me off the WC jersey.
No way in hell they wouldn't want to show the WC jersey in their home race.
And that's understandable to be honest.

McNulty is a very good Time triallist but that's it. He is scheduled to race AGR and I'm almost sure he will be gone before the 200km markMcNulty wins in Croatia and Vine wins two stages in Coppi-Bartali
UAE seems to be Astana, competing in small races for wins and points.
Nys is a fantastic talent but such comments from a teammate are very unhelpful as they increase the weight of public opinion expectation on him to an unfair level.Nys never won an important race in his career but Lidl didn't learn from what Pogi did to Pederse for example. I like Nys but c'mon...

Lidl-Trek teammates put trust on Thibau Nys: The best Thibau might be able to hold Pogacar's wheel
Thibau Nys only began his road season now in April but immediately took a victory at the GP Miguel Indurain, and then at Itzulia Basque Country he was able to prime his form. Whilst absent most of the...cyclinguptodate.com
Yup, this kid can be really in great shape but putting him on par with Pogacar... it's too much! Specially since he is talking about AGR and not FW (when I really think he has a shot).Nys is a fantastic talent but such comments from a teammate are very unhelpful as they increase the weight of public opinion expectation on him to an unfair level.
Remco being this good is not bad for Pogacar. Not talking about Ardennes (because it is more difficult for Pogacar to win), I'm talking more about getting an ally in MSR and probably RVV in order to beat MVP.
Poor MVP. He would quit and go to altitude training just like his friend Wout.If Remco goes to MSR next year, just put Pomieana between Cipressa and Poggio and include La Manie
Let the aliens battle it out for the win. Don't even need to pretend sprinters have a chance
And why? What do they win in getting more attention and pressure to Nys?I think they are just fishing for attention, I wouldnt put much weight into this.
Everyone is throwing Pogacar name because he is basically the reference. It gets way more attention to say " Oh he can hold his own against Pogacar " versus " Oh he can fight for the win at X race "
I don't know how much but this bike is lighter than the V4 and can save you 9 watts at 50 kph.
