What Pogacar should be angry about is seeing his teammates win every one-week race except the UAE Tour.
This year, he has had to bring forward his debut to do that *** race.

His season should´ve started at Strade Bianche like last year.
For a one-week race that they have to win to help him and it's the only one they haven't won these 3 years.

I think they've wanted to show their golden goose in the home race anyway.

Next year, Ayuso will probably race there. Race is perfect for him.
You are too worried about him doing AGR and FW. He already gave up on E3 and GW in order to perform in AGR and FW.
In 2023, he was on his way to win the Ardennes treble and he did a lot more races in March.

Pogacar wanted to show his jersey in the classics, not in the desert.

As soon as I saw they didn't win the race last year, I assumed he'd have to do it this year, even if he hadn't won the world championship.

They would want to show off the rainbow jersey in their home race anyway.

I didn't like that particular peace in his schedule either, but it's hard to get away.

No, he would probably have to go showing me off the WC jersey.
No way in hell they wouldn't want to show the WC jersey in their home race.
And that's understandable to be honest.
Yeah but let's hope it is the last time. It is cringe to see Pogacar in a break just to not suffer from detraining. UAE is a rich country, why they don't create artificial climbs?

Nys never won an important race in his career but Lidl didn't learn from what Pogi did to Pederse for example. I like Nys but c'mon...

Nys is a fantastic talent but such comments from a teammate are very unhelpful as they increase the weight of public opinion expectation on him to an unfair level.

I think they are just fishing for attention, I wouldnt put much weight into this.

Everyone is throwing Pogacar name because he is basically the reference. It gets way more attention to say " Oh he can hold his own against Pogacar " versus " Oh he can fight for the win at X race "

Remco being this good is not bad for Pogacar. Not talking about Ardennes (because it is more difficult for Pogacar to win), I'm talking more about getting an ally in MSR and probably RVV in order to beat MVP.

If Remco goes to MSR next year, just put Pomieana between Cipressa and Poggio and include La Manie

Let the aliens battle it out for the win. Don't even need to pretend sprinters have a chance

Why does Pogacar need Remco at RVV if he´s won the last two times he´s competed in?

In San Remo, it wouldn't solve anything. Pogacar broke the race at the Cipressa.
In a sprint against Van der Poel, it doesn't matter if Remco is there.

Think it's time for another update on Pogi's Palmares. Now he has won 8 monuments (3 different races) and has podiumed the other two. This summer he should get his tally to 100 pro wins.

The aim is not to argue about which are the most relevant races but to keep track of which I feel are the most prestigious events regardless of the current official category.

It does matter to help him pushing a higher pace. Maybe not Remco but Quickstep working hard on Cipressa will help Pogacar.
In RVV maybe you are right but Pogacar would have another team to make the race harder.
