Obviously. If Romeo, who isn't a climber, and Bardet, who's about to retire, beat Contador, the Tour de France winner will easily surpass those numbers.

Because Contador is a bad proxy for Pantani records.

There are very good reason to assume Pogacar and Vingegaard will shred the records of Hautacam, Ventoux (and Alpe d'Huez when it reappears), but Contador's Madeleine time is not one of them.

Yeah, cycling has been way faster after 2020. One of the reasons is this golden generation of riders.

Rest before the Tour. Politt will be important in flat stages. Yates can ride into form. Only Almeida, I expected to be there but maybe he wanted to recover before the Tour.

I don't understand why Yates doesn't do altitude. Most riders who ride Giro-Tour do an altitude camp.

I'm sure he will demolish every GC rider in the Tour and I'm not being optimistic. He just needs to stay on his bike and the most impressive climbing record in cycling history will go down in July (Riis in Hautacam).

I think he lives in Andorra so he is training in the mountains for sure. He just needs to be good after stage 11.

Between 6,8 w/kg - 6,88 w/kg for 34'41".
I prefer to look to VAM: 1840 m/h.
With a strong pace by UAE in the first half, Pogacar can break this record.
