Yeah, but the hill is too easy to drop Jonas. Maybe he was testing him but I don't see the point.

Pogacar looked easy. That attack was meant to make things clear to Jorgenson.

If he stays healthy he'll win. Vingegaard doesn't look able to drop him and we've seen now multiple times that Jorgenson is no credible threat, even if Visma play their numbers.
If he gets slightly sick however or has a terrible day like in 22/23 he'll lose because the team seems quite meh without Almeida, they`re good enough to keep breaks in check and control someone like Jorgenson but they won't be able to contain Vingegaard if he does a fare range attack and Pog (for whatever reasons) doesn't feel it.

Almeida is gone and looking at today's stage it's clear that Visma will have a significant advantage in the mountains over UAE and all other teams.

Worrying for Tadej that he couldn't even gap Jonas here. These climbs are Tadej's bread and butter. Good for him that he gained so much time on the TT, and will likely gain more on the mountain TT, so he doesn't have to ride aggressively in the high mountains.

As far as team strength goes this was the most dangerous stage. From now on it is basically a pure w/kg test vs Vingegaard. Five mountain finishes and the TT.

When the big stages arrive Pog needs one man with him for fueling and cooling and just follow Visma train.

Sivakov and Yates form better improve otherwize Pog could be isolated in the high mountains. Pog will probably be fine anyway but he will be more exposed.

If Pog had a strong leadout by Narvaez or A Yates today I doubt Vinge would have followed. Nice tactic by Visma to distance Narvaez and A Yates.
