Sick or tired from the effects of the accident?

I think it's because he can't sleep well because of his arm.

I hope he's not sick because it would be very bad for Tuesday.
He said he's having some sort of clogged nose and a bit of sore throat which he attributed to "too much airconditioning and eating too much ice" but he said it's all good. He also said he's had it for a couple of days now so he might've had it during the Hautacam and Peyragudes stages.

I mean, even I get a sore throat from too cold drinks (too cold beer? Sore throat the next morning!), so I can relate to that.

@jmdirt I don’t remember this “Pogacar” on the Seahawks, what position did they play? Maybe he’s been their missing link ;)

Then when I saw this live I thought it was a Packers fan at first.

Matteo isn't a match for Pogacar and IMO may never get there. He is very strong but it doesn't equal the jumpiness of Tadej and some others. That's also the issue for Jonas, now. Tadej can do a quick jump and press the issue for a km. Jonas responds and Tadej simply does it again when he almost closes the gap. If there is hope it's that sort of tactic won't work on Ventoux if there is a headwind. Both guys may be sidelined until Stage 18 by conditions neither can overcome except maybe the last km.
It seems like a torture fest for the riders and the fans.
Even with a headwind it shouldn’t matter as when Tadej attacks only Jonas will even try to follow and will be too far in front of the rest of the podium contenders to retreat back to a group so they will both be equally fighting the wind if Tadej gets the same kind of initial gap as on Hautacam and in Dauphine.

Pogacar says he's had cold symptoms, but he wouldn't call it an illness either.

It's one of the things I like most about him; he doesn't make excuses or cry about his injuries every day. There are cyclists who would spend every stage remembering that they have a huge wound on their arm because of the accidente (I won't say who, we all know :tearsofjoy: ).

Roglics fan would be all over this. Cold symptons and a crash? Thats enough misfortune to not do well for the remainder of the season!

Headwind on Ventoux is very difficult to stay away. I hope he is cautious and just follows Vingegaard.
