I had nothing against Ayuso, but I didn't like this Vuelta thing at all. It seems like too much of a coincidence that Ayuso leaked to the press that he wants to leave, and now they're including him in the Vuelta, when they had said he wouldn't go even if Pogacar didn't.
And Pogacar hinted at the Dauphiné that he would go, but now he doesn't. The team has convinced him, and it's a mistake because the next two world championships also suit him.
The Tour-Vuelta is very physically demanding; he had to do it now when he's at his best.
