Now its about avoiding troubles for the last two stages and Tour #4 is in the bag. Great race overall, never was in troubles vs Vingegaard and never lost time.

Is he tired? Sure, mentally as much as physically (we saw his recent comment). Visma made the race hard. I doubt Vuelta is on the cards. He may need a good rest after heavy spring + Tour.

If Tadej doesn't do Vuelta then for sure Del Toro comes in, super domestique or co-leader with Almeida.
I dont think so. Del Toro has had many race days and is still very young. I could see him doing Giro next year again or maybe Tour with Pog.

It will most likely be Ayuso and Almeida at Vuelta this season, unless Almeida is still hurt. Maybe only Ayuso in that case.

After these last few stages and his statements, I just don’t think Pogačar is at his best whether its physically or mentally. The fact that he can still win the Tour, shows us why he is by far the best in the world.

I hope that he gets the rest he needs.
Maybe his illness was worse than we believed . However, something definitely went wrong in the last week; I'm curious to know the truth, too. That said, this is further proof of his strength and superiority over the others (especially Jonas).Despite not being in top form, he never managed to break away from Pogacar wheel That'sjust great. The next Tours will be over before they begin.

I don't think anyone in UAE bar Pogi has what it takes to win GC alone vs Vinge, co-leader tactic is necessary. 2 of 3 has to race, in whichever combination (Toro/Almeida/Ayuso)

Just another comparison so you guys get the idea.
Pogacar today on La Plagne did a similar performance to Monte Grappa last year.
And today Pogacar was holding back.
I am calm about Pog's form now.

There will be riots if Ayuso is a sole leader in the Vuelta.
Not by any rational.

Yates... Giro + Tour.

Pog... needs rest after classics, prep, Dauphine and Tour.

Almeida... potentially not recovered from injury. Otherwise, he will race.

Del Toro... is young and has already raced a lot. Sending him to a second GT on a whim doesnt seem smart.

"Worst case"... Ayuso will be leader and maybe they will add McNulty if Almeida cant make it.

Del Toro wont be there.

It will be Ayuso and Almeida.

Or just Ayuso.
Almedia and Ayuso is decent but the question that begs to be asked, is he still going to be egotistical? If he refused to work for Tadej, then you can scratch him working for Almeida if the situation demands it. Movistar 2.0 vibes.

Impossible to answer that now.

Maybe they both have free roles. Who knows.

Just look at Bora in Tour.

It is what it is.

@Peyroteo94 Now that we've seen all the mountain stages, can we conclude that he didn't reach last year's level?
Maybe the crash had some impact (on Hautacam), but even without it he wouldn't be better than last year.

Today it was clear that he didn´t want Vingegaard to win so to get a little revenge on him he didn´t want to catch up Arensman and Vingegaard was naive enough to believe that Pogi would catch up Arensman and go for the stage win (what Pogi in reality didn´t really care about). I think Pogi was very happy about giving away the victory to Arensman after that Vingegaard had acted like a parasite for the whole stage withoug taking even one single lead.

So afterall it was a very deseved win for Arensman who gave everything, while Pogi didn´t really care much about winning the stage. And Vingegaard certainly did not work hard enough to deserve the win, so it was nice to see Arensman take the win in front of Vingegaard at the end.

It's beyond me how we are even discussing if today was a moral win for Jonas. The second in general didn't even dare to attack the guy who is in the lead, with 4 stage wins, while Jonas has and will finish with 0. And i bet Pogacar would have won today also if Arensman wasn't in the front.

Can't imagine the mental stress he endured basically guessing and acting on the opponent's strategy rather than your own team's. He made it look easy and, to be honest; Visma telegraphed much of their plans. Still he had to race not to lose for many parts of this Tour. Not as easy as it might sound.
I'd be skipping post-Tour celebrations for some quiet beer time where I couldn't see a bike. I'm weak, so it'd be easy.

Tbf, if all the riders didn't race that would end up in front of me, today, even I could have won. If someone gave me a motorbike as well and taught me how to drive it. But that's still a 20% chance of me winning if no one else is in front of me.
