No Vuelta I feel like is 90-95% at this point. Im with Tom Danielson's takes in regards to Tadej's last week - crash and sickness hampered him, his body didn't feel right, it was cold, pre and post stages interviews etc. etc. That takes a toll on your body and at that point, you just wanna go home with the Maillot Jaune and call it a day. He needs to chill in Monaco for a while now!

Rwanda big goal, Lombardia is a wrap as well if he's in shape. I wonder if he will race in Canada or not this year. What are the alternatives? Maybe he just doesn't do any races leading up to it, that could be an option as well. Its not like he really needs it, but Canada is usually good prep, but will be a lot of travelling

Nice to see that at the end of the Tour he showed signs of being a human, despite claims of him being alien.

This in my opinion only gives more credit to him, because his visible fatigue in the last week points towards that he is probably clean and seeing him being just a bit human only makes him more likable.

Very well deserved win, no doubt about that.

I also feel that he will skip the Vuelta, because he really DOES look like he needs al little break and I am sure he is going big time for the World Championships...

Have you seen the course? The decision is wrong. He'll never have such an easy course.
When I saw the route, I changed my opinion. This was definitely the year.

Ayuso and Almeida aren't going to beat Vingegaard. A GT isn't Algarve or París-Nice stage.
Yes, and whatever course the next few years may have, I’m sure this version of Pogačar will be able to demolish his opponents every single time, even after the Tour, we all know what happened in the Tour after Giro. I’d rather see him recover, both mentally and physically, and hopefully maintain his fire and motivation for a few more years, than see him burn himself out even more right now.

I think he will no to Vuelta, and it Is the right choice. He suffered mental fatigue in the last week, not physical, due to the mental pressure by Visma and the fact that without Almeida he knew he had a week team in the mountains. He deserves a good recovery and to enjoy racing when he will be ready.
