Seeing as Roglic didn't help Pogacar last year, I don't understand why he has to accept staying in the peloton and stopping other attacks. Why would he have to help him this year? Help a riders less favorite than him and who has never helped him. No sense

Roglic will have a free role to attack but obviously Pogacar can counter-attack any time he wants, the national coach won't be able to stop him, even if he wanted.

I also fear this. Roglic will try to attack earlier and Pogacar will be stuck behind. I hope he attacks and don't be polite.

This is pretty obvious Roglic will ride for himself. He wouldn't bother going to Rwanda otherwise and is not known to help other teammates if he thinks he has a chance. I'm expecting his early attack but what it means to Pogi, well time will tell. I don't think Pogacar will play an anchor role for too long in this case, he will counter-attack at some point (unless other teams do good chasing job).

But will Roglic pull for Pogacar at any point in the race? I don't think so.

I also think he can win. Obviously his odds are very very low, the race needs to go perfect for him, but he has a chance. Just like Ayuso has a chance for example.

But first lets focus on ITT and lets see on what Pogi naturally aspirated engine paired with low weight can do on climbs. If he puts a minute into Remco then we all know what is coming next at RR.

They were always rivals in the Tour. In the World Championships, you're confusing Tratnik with Roglic.

But you have to take into account how it's the climb, the type of road, the non-thecnichal descent...

Roglic going away solo is probably the last thing Pogacar wants cause it's kinda bad PR to go and mow him down then.

If other teams take responsibility to chase Rogla (and succeed: likely) then it's more advantageous for Pogacar than Slovenia trying to chase other guys (and being unable to do it).

The problem is other teams will put riders with Roglic. So they will not work.
