Interesting. Bluff or real confidence about his level? We will know on Sunday!
One thing is very clear to me, his pride is hurt from his terrible loss in the TT.

It may also be an attempt to deceive others into thinking that he´s better than he really is.

Same last year. I can't remember what he did, but it was like a 20 second pull before Pogi went on a 100km rampage.

Life can be conceived in under 5s and can last for a 100 years. But OK, if Pogi doesn't need stomp launch assist on Kigali Rogla can use that after, as an additional afterburner nearing the finish line.

Impressive that his best training is at altitude, in this heat and humidity. Complete bs or no need to race.

I would not read too much into it either way to be honest - saying they were some of his best sessions does not equate to saying they produced his best numbers.

he actually said this were some of his most enjoyable training rides of the year, he was actually referring to the atmosphere in rwanda, not to his level. Still, he seems confident, and as I said after the TT, pog will be a different rider on sunday

Surprise! Lanterne Rouge makes a clickbait headline.

Obivously I agree as one kinda leads to the other if thats the case. But I think context here to ur point is he alluded to the atmosphere not his best numbers during training.(might be wrong)

For the rest part just straightforward answer from a confident person who knows what his normal top level does to everyone and pouring pressure on himsef in what im sure hes super motivated to right the ship after what I'm sure bruised his ego a bit in the TT.

That has to be a good sign being in an exciting new environment and he doesn't appear to dejected about his TT. A week of getting comfortable is good forecast in my opinion. Can't really take much from female U23 race but the course has some obvious pinch points.. Not fatal flaws but the men's race will be very different of course but I can see vehicle traffic being a problem if race breaks into bigger groups.. The cobbled climbing is pretty cool..

yes, when you see something about pog on that account or others clearly linked to LR you always have to check for yourself
I worte wrong, it's Flamme Rouge. They make a lot clickbait, especially with Pogacar.

Alone (in the peloton) with 100km to go, like last year.

A Slovenian should get into the breakaway to help like Tratnik.

Maybe Mohoric. Tehy don't have another level rider. Roglic isn't going to stop, and Novak is needed in the peloton to put the pace and control the race.

The Lanterne Rouge guys were saying that they think Mount Kigali and the subsequent climb are hard enough they will drop a lot of domestiques from every team. That would be a good situation for Pogacar, as then the weakness of Slovenia won't matter so much. I guess we'll see. It's always a hard race to control.
