Almeida is cooked and already thinking on vacations.
EC is a nice preparation race for GdL. He can go there with Urska too.

But now with Del Toro as his teammate.
That's why he does these crazy solos. Got to absolutely make sure he's not in that awful UAE jersey.

Back to familiar territory. It's insane to witness this kind of wins, historically. If you just look at the results and see he won by 1:28, you might think oh Impressive. But it's not the margin, it's the way he wins that's absolutely mental.
It's hard to even gauge how many leagues above everyone else he truly is. Crazy stuff. I love it.

U could see it in the gap at the finish as there is no world where healy & skelmose could finish 4 minutes ahead of a 2nd chase group of skuins,ciccone,deltoro,ayuso in a 1 day race. Thank god finally they pulled the motorbike out of the race after remco was solo otherwise he would've caught pog

Merckx combined winning margin to 2nd place across all 3 WC wins was a whopping 2 seconds.
I wouldn't go to the European Championship. Winning the rainbow jersey doesn't make much sense. Or maybe h'd go as a training session and to help Roglic. It's a 200km race, and Roglic could have a chance of winning a medal.

Congratz to Pogacar for winning one of the toughest WC races in history.
(as much as i was expecting more from Del Toro) i'm glad he could not follow. The though of him & Pogacar rining hand in hand to the finish at a WC was giving me shivers. Glad for the sport we did not get to see that.

Ever since I saw the training video for Mur Kigali, I thought Pogacar would use that point to select. I didn't think he'd do it on Mont Kigali.
The cobbles on Mur Kigali are much more difficult than those on Kimihurura, and in that video, you can see the difference between how Pogacar climbed it and how Remco did it.
Ayuso was a complete disaster at this cobbles; Ayuso admitted after the race that he couldn't climb it at a good pace.
Pidcock was the other rider who climbed it well the other day, and today del Toro. Del Toro madie MTB when he is younger.
Remco can rival Pogacar in Ardennes, but in Flanders, it seems impossible to me.
Besides, the roads in Flanders are narrow, and positioning is more important than today, and Pogacar is far better at positioning.
Only VDP is a rival in Flanders, and I don't think he's a rival there either. Pogacar is the best Flanders rider today.

Next year. Tour+WC and he becomes the record holder of the most important stage race and most important classic.
Roglic could have done better there. A shorter race
.I don't know if Pogacar will want to go after the celebrations. He's probably going to do his part for Slovenia, but what motivation would there be for a European Championship with the rainbow?
I'd be terribly lazy to do a European Championship after winning a WC .

Roglic should work for Pogacar and just that. What was he doing exactly? He could have paced Mount Kigali for Pogacar.
I suppose his job was to mark Remco from behind, and if Pogacar failed, to have fresh legs for a hypothetical sprint. But we've already said that Roglic can't fulfill that role because he wouldn't be around after 220 kilometer.
