After reading into his podcast from today i really think he is SURE that he can win P-R. I was already in disbelief why would he be so dissapointed after 2nd place (it was so obvious on finish) but he knows something..

If he wishes to win these things he needs to just prepare himself, the team, and peak to win them every year. Even if it means altitude training which he doesn't seem to do outside of le tour.

It's just incredible how all commentators never mentioned the crash during week 2 and 3 of the tour. If it was another rider who crashed like that they would still be talking today about how it affected him. Now we have the confirmation from pog himself that something went wrong at the tour. It might be a combination of the effects of a bad crash and the 2 big efforts in hautacam and peyragudes that led to the knee problem and also the cold in week 3. Taking into account all of this it's fair to say his level in 2025 tour was even higher than in 2024 and his gap to vingegaard even bigger
It's normal. The day after he destroyed everyone.

still it's clear from week 3 that something went wrong with his body so the connection with the crash is very easy, at least they should have mentioned it
You're absolutely right. With others, they would have spent the entire Tour complaining and talking about asterisks, they always do.

They said he did like 6.2 W/kg and he deduced that Pogi probably did close to 7 W/kg. Pogi gave everyone a 6 minute headstart and Feather was able to stay away by around 2 and a half to 3 minutes in the end.

Also, Feather was apparently a multiple national hill climb champion.
That guy could be a professional :dizzy:

Other thing, Simmons had (IIRC) a 2'40" lead before Ganda, he lost 4' in 9 km. Another 2'20" until the end of the race. So Simmons even with a 5' lead would not win GdL.
If Simmons rides Ganda one minute slower he's fresh enough to follow Pog over the top. Instead he blew himself up (although not as bad as Del Toro and many others) trying to follow the pace of Pog and then Remco.

If you don't think the team matters then why is uae dishing out millions to anyone besides Pog...

Stage 16: 5th, gapped Vingegaard in a sprint a deux behind the breakaway
Stage 17: 27th, comfortably in top quarter of peloton in a big bunch finish
Stage 18: 2nd, took considerable amount of time out of Vingegaard in last part of stage behind a breakaway
Stage 19: 3rd, finished same time as Vingegaard
Stage 20: 32nd, comfortably in top third of peloton with no attempt to go after breakaway
Stage 21: 4th having been beaten on cobbled climb by one of the foremost cobbles/CX riders of his generation who had enjoyed un unstressed Tour until then.

Given that his primary goal for the week was to not lose more than 4 minutes to Vingegaard, what was clear?

pogacar on top form would have won 2/3 stages in week 3, dropped vingegaard easily (just like in dauphine and hautacam) and would never have been dropped by van aert. Just look at his week 3 in tour de france 2024. If it's not clear to you that something went wrong I don't know what to tell you. Pogacar just confirmed that he had problems with his knee in week 3

Very strange to just say this today.

Majka got such a great farewell from his teammates. He was really liked and respected in the team, Pogacar even called him "mentor" and "older brother". He gave some great memories to Polish fans i.e. stage wins and polka-dots at the Tour (I still remember well emotions associated with his wins in Tour 2014), Vuelta and Olympics podiums. He also liked his last career chapter, which included helping the greatest cyclist of the last 50 years. One of the best Polish cyclists ever.
