So with not much going rn, what is some controversial schedule you would want Pogi doing this year? Mine would be :
TDU, Omloop, MSR, E3, RVV, P-R, Giro, San Sebastian, Vuelta, WC, EC, GDL
or
SB,MSR, Basque, LBL,Romandie, Giro, Vuelta,WC, EC, GdL.

Doing MSR, E3, RVV and P-R, followed by a Giro would be extremely difficult, especially if Jonas is there. Also, LBL seems like a free monument, I don't see why he wouldn't do it

So race summary, could mention MSR too, it was a really good edition for once. PR to obv. But RVV was the best race of the season to me.

Everything was perfect: ultimate battle, the weather, completely packed with people on rooftops, the cathedral of cycling. Intriguing with several attacks throughout, with all the favourites still together at the final Kwaremont.

"We modelled his physical capabilities and our strategy was bringing him to that moment his weakness was clear. We brought him to that point that he collapsed." Sure, only luck that he was semi-serius. :tearsofjoy:

He is doing a bit of jogging here, has he ever said what his 5k/10k PB is? I know some cyclists have got excellent times like Yates, Mollema, Dumoulin

Before the Tour 2023 he was running uphill in Nice as he couldn't train outdoors. Other than that I don't recall him running. I don't know if he ever ran full-gas on flat so probably there's no decent PB by him. BTW going full gas on a 5 km distance could be more dangerous due to speed/intensity (risk of an injury): those guys can be almost newbies but still can run super-fast like semi-pros (so there's an increased risk).

Yer I imagine they are told to limit how much all out running efforts they do. Would be curious to see what Pog is capable of if he tried.

Dumo managed 10k in 32' or so I suppose it's reachable for Pog. I even suspected that Pog (or especially Vingo due to his weight) could get close to 30' after like half a year of training but who knows maybe Dumo is actually more talented running-wise so my guess is totally off.

However, It's more likely Pogacar (or Vingegaard) would be able to reach elite level in vertical km uphill run (after a few months of training). It's much slower (on a 30+ % slope one can run 6 kph and approach VAM of 2000 m/h) so it's almost all about the engine (not the efficiency) plus the competition is likely weaker than in case of flat running.
