they can lead races from march onwards, skipping alula tour or TDU one year is not a tragedy, we are talking like winning these races would change anything in the careers of these riders

no that would be extreme and would make no sense, I would avoid TDU/alula tour and the opening weekend. In general I would reduce the number of race days for key MSR riders, and only send del toro to tirreno, but not mcnulty to PN (no chance of winning). There's a reason why pogacar only races once before msr
It's not like TDU is race where crashes happen often. Omloop is a dangerous race though.

all races are dangerous, the point is that tdu is not a big race, they have already won it many times and you can easily sacrifice it one year, just like alula tour and other minor races. I hope christen can make a strong pull in the first part of cipressa, he has to do the role of wellens and that's not easy, if he's well positioned he can do it
my first post makes perfect sense, I just exaggerated to make a point, my mistake. The only exaggeration was in saying no chance, which I corrected to little chance. The rest of the post is just saying that with a proper superteam UAE could make a huge difference and pogacar would be my favourite to win, and I stand by that
UAE tour (is big for them), Strade, Tirreno, Paris Nice. That's it. By the way they would have to sacrifice a few minor races in january/february, it's not like you are asking them to plan their entire season on MSR, just the first 2 months
