Of course it is. I don't even think this is debatable tbh.
Teams are much more important now (e.g. sprint trainings, control the break in the mountains, etc).

I think he never wins MSR. I really see this as being the one race he wants that he never gets.

yep, until a few hours ago rain for basically the entire race (from pavia, turchino to sanremo) was on the forecast, now it's basically perfect conditions which imo makes the race almost impossible to win for pogacar with this mvdp

Pogi stated that knee problem appeared when he hit his handlebar during Mt Ventoux finish.
While that crash didn't affect him at all in the Pyrenees maybe it did make him more tired at the end.
