Insane performance today, up there with the most astonishing displays of athletic endurance the sport has seen. The dial has been upped another notch again this year, UAE weren’t going to beaten at this years race.

It can't just be UAE, Vingegaard okay lost 1 minute, but that was still totally nuts. Remco beat Pantani too, I think also Landa?
Pogacar's maturing, so some "natural" progression was to be expected. I don't know if they needed to up anything for that.
It's just that we are seing, without a clue to what it is, the potential of the new stuff. It's only been a few years since the change took part, so it's also learning time when it comes to usage. If you will that would be taking it up a notch, yet everything else (not learning) would be surprising.

But damn.
This is getting hard to see. I'd like someone to convinve me that consuming carbs more on an exact schedule makes your endurance a million times better, with scientific evidence. It would be more enjoyable.

Is this the greatest climbing performance of all time? Was left in awe.
Also, there was a point where the group only consisted of 2 Visma riders, 2 UAE riders and 2 Quickstep riders. Cyclisme a deux vitesses indeed.

In terms of Watt/ Kilo it absolutely was. We talk well well above 7 Watt/ Kilo here for 40 minutes..

So did Pogi just push 7,3 w/kg on a 40-minute climb? :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

This is a clown show. Gianetti has no shame, they're not even trying to hide it any longer. He'll go to La Vuelta and win that as well. The once-thought-impossible feats have become absolute standards for this freak. This year he'll do the triple crown, next year he'll win all five monuments. There is zero shame, all greed, they want it all, and to make matters even worse they're doing it all as a sportswashing project for a despicable regime.

I think Pogacar also beat mr 60% performance on Hautacam, and Jonas is very close to it, that is some next-level stuff
