Just think of the margin of overall victory if he had not lost time in the crosswinds. He was smoking the flat part of the TT, and then smoked the climb. All good, nothing to see here. His previous results show this progression entirely

What's bad is that in my overall believability matrix, this is the most extreme, more than WvA, more than Ski Jumper Power. Not sure if I call it full Froome, given Froome's amazing early promise ;), but still pretty dang nuts.

He's been the strongest climber all race, so I guess it's kind of consistent with his previous performances. But to do that in stage 20 is a seriously high level and shows some pretty amazing recovery.

Yeah I can't remember the last time a performance shocked like this

He was dropped by Roglic and Lopez on the hardest Tour of the stage. I don’t think his climbing third week was anything to shout about really.

What the hell just happened today.. That's just ridiculous. I know WVA has been turning lots of heads, but this is maybe the most unbelievable performance in a long while. I don't believe this for a second. Christ.

Slovenia is a tiny cycle sport nation. That in itself is suspicious given the spectacular successes of the Slovenian riders. Note that many Slovenian athletes have a doping record.

Thermonuclear, Alien all rolled in one stage. Beats the best TT guys and the best climbers by a huge margin in a single stage after 19 stages of fast racing

Except he only dropped everyone once and got dropped on the queen stage for half a minute.

Now I'm reminded of the Vuelta last year where he also went nuclear on the penultimate day but I didn't pay attention there cause the VAMs were super low.

Not by that much - that was crazy. Then tag it to a flat portion of the TT that was also pegged and it just makes me laugh. There are a handful of performances over the past 20+ years where I just kind of chuckle and shake my head. This is one of them. It's past the tipping point
