And first rider to win TT and RR in the same year...

That would be awesome.
I like this pic from yesterday.

No doubt this win meant a lot to him.

How do we see the returned Phinney stacking up against Martin, Malori, Dowsett, Dumoulin, Dennis?

IMO still a notch below all of them....at least from what I saw at Utah. Now, if he gets a little better he could probably manage himself pretty well against Dowsett, Dennis, Malori, but I think it would be very hard for him to beat them. Also don't forget about Kiryienka.

For the TT I think that he will compete for the box, but I wonder if he has enough in his legs for the RR. Obviously some of it will depend how the race shakes out, but 260K of hard racing might be tough on a guy who is just getting his legs back. Then again, maybe he has a great base, and these late season races will dial him in. Put that on top of being mentally and physically fresh(er) (I'm assuming that), he could contend.

Taylor seems to be enjoying himself

Team presentation done at #AvivaToB2015. Great people, beautiful country, really happy to be here this year!
I love the UK! Felt like a kid in a candy store with all the scenery today. Truly a beautiful place to ride and race a bike! #AvivaToB2015

TP is riding solid again this spring so I hope that this is a sign that he can make a full recovery...I'd still love to see him win a classic on the stones!

Don't see him taking a medal this year. Had his best chance in London. Finishing 4th twice that must've really sucked

TP had a solid TT this morning at TdS. He's always done well at short TT/prologues (probably in part due to his background on the track), but this is a good sign that he is feeling good and his form is coming together. I was getting a little worried that he was trying to have too much fun, but maybe he has found a way to be WT fit while still having some fun.

Nice breakaway and a polka-dot jersey for him. I was sceptical about if he should have got a TdF spot this year but I think he now justified it.

He looks really smooth on a bike. Which is usually my main criteria for liking a rider. :D Have never been a Phinney fan really, but I'm warming to him. Hope he'll get back to a competitive level in races that matter to him.
