Big blow for Gaviria in the Points competition. I think it might be one of his goals for this race.

Crockett has gotten substantially faster in sprints this year.

@Guyincognito, yes it was John D, but seeing that he was quickly losing the wheel of Demare, Sagan needed to respond and get on Demare's wheel.
To win a bunch sprint you need to be ruthless and decisive. Today was no exception

Why on earth is Sagan showing off his shape? Gaviria looks much smarter "not contesting" the intermediate.
He's not going to win a stage like this anyway.

You were saying?

There was a BM rider on the ground who seemed to be in pain. Anyone know who that was?
I think it was Haussler.

Feel so sorry for him. Just managed to get back into top shape after few years of injuries. Hope nothing serious, but he looked like in serious pain.

Chapeau Sagan - nearly Colbrelli.
Was waiting for Valverde to sprint past everyone :) Someone wrote about that turn with 2 km to go ... ;)

He really needs a change of luck.

Meh, that was a disappointing sprint. Gaviria, Kittel, Cav and Groenewegen MIA. Nice sprint by Sagan, but when a stage only can offer a sprint and its not even a decent one, its problematic.

It was a tougher finish than indicated on the profile and perfectly suited Sagan's characteristics - Matthews would have done well if wasn't brought down in the crash.
