Peraud could overtake Pinot for the 3rd podium in the time trial.
if he does finish 3rd, he might be the oldest rider to finish on the tour de france podium ever

Evans is obviously a good rider (all be him a tradition wheel suck), but disliking developing riders because they haven't developed yet is the aspect I take umbrage with. Froome didn't develop, he appeared. Your fandom of him, and dislike of naturally developing riders is odd to say the least Michelle. We can take it to the clinic if you'd prefer, but I think you know what I'm saying. And btw the only reason I dislike Evans is because he is a bit of a boring rider. Seems nice enough off the bike, but for me at least, it's about riders who ride to win and blow **** up. Skyborgs riding via meter need not apply.

Also we know the Alps suit him more than the Pyrenees.

I think bronchitis is the reason in the end. It takes its toll even if you are getting feel better. That said, I haven't read about his sickness anywhere else than CN forum.

From various comments I gather that Pinot is weakest in the TT? How bad exactly? He needs to try something tomorrow, 'cause a podium might just slip away.

Correct. He needs to drop Valverde tomorrow if he wants the podium. Plain and simple. I think he can handle Bardet but not Valverde.

Should be a great battle for 2nd place between Valverde and Peraud,i think the young french are out of this, the only thing that can save them is crazy attack tomorrow, but i don't believe they are able of something like this.

Looking at the time differences, this looks very bad for Pinot. I think Peraud has the 2nd place almost in the bag. And Valverde has still 30+ seconds, a strong team and is a better TTist. I don't think Hautacam alone will be enough. Pinot/FDJ needs to cook Valverde at least a little on the Tourmalet. But I don't think Valverde will panic, he's too experienced and his team too strong. Oh well, still plenty of time for the young guns in the years to come. And the fight for the white jersey between them has been fun to watch.

It would be hard but doable. Need to focus on Valverde only starting in the Tourmalet.

Well looks like neither of my picks (TJVG and Bardet) are gonna make it.

Congrats to the very few of you who chose Peraud and Pinot.

And this might be wrong by tomorrow !
