Cerberus said:It's not that big a deal I would think, they can afford to let Vino have 5 minutes easily, .
koolkinks said:Charteau in the break but not Pineau. The KOM for this stage will be sewn up unless the break is caught.
Mellow Velo said:Gap going out. with 18 riders and with Ryder and Vino up there, Saxo will need help from other teams, or we could have another L'Aquila.
If they stay away, the Shack look to have possibly another stage win, since Kloden should out-climb the rest, including the Kazakh.

Everyones second favorite Kazakh living up to his reputation
Cerberus said:L'aquila had 50 some riders in the break with many actual domestiques willing to go all out to lengthen the gap, in this break I think only Klöden, Vino and Hesjedal cares about anything but the stage win and I don't think any of them have team mates in the break. While the situation is hardly optimal for Saxo I think you're overstating the problem.
Boom has been on the attack for a second today But you're right, they do seem a little lacklustre in trying to be in the breakaway.Kwibus said:Rabo has no riders in the breakaway group... again.
Sure they got 2 guys in the top10, but I would appreciate some more offensive riding from riders like Boom and Tankink.
Anyways this could mean that Saxo has some allies to chase the breakaway.

Not much, certainly not more than a minute on anyone in the current top-10.ttrider said:How much can shleck and contador gain on this break on the final clime?
That's a valid point, I'll rephrase it, they can give him 5 minutes and it won't be a disaster.thrawn said:i disagree. this would put him close enough on the gc to force saxo to chase any future attack from him, a card i can see astana playing. this could burn up saxo's domestiques.

ak-zaaf said:Kudos to Hushovd for going all out again, but I don't like this. Same with winning the KOM only by being in break aways. Intermediate sprints should only count in groups of more than 30 people.
Yeah, flame me

Kudos to Hushovd, for me the green jersey competition is like the Intergiro. With points awarded during the mountains, sometimes the best sprinter wins it sometimes the most consistent sprinter gets it. Anyways Hushovd is a great rider I hope all his effort pays off.

I was annoyed at Hushovd winning last year... not because of his points on breaks, but rather the Cav relegation that affected the result... when his actions didn't affect the outcome of the stage in my opinion.
Hunting the jersey the way Hushovd does is refreshing.
