If lovkist attack about 10km out and everybody rides slowly up mende Lovkist will win. So he has no chance.
Good to see Cadel right up the front with some of the BMC boys. Maybe he is feeling better today. It is a Cadel finish.

I thought cadel wasn't very good on short and very steep... I thought he was better on long fast tempo, like basso??

And he won that certain race called something like Fleche-Wallonne which ends on a particularly steep hill:rolleyes:

Its going to be the mountains that will hurt not the flat parts - thats where I can see that hurting him. A stage win is not on my radar for him

Normally? Maybe. With a broken elbow? Nope.

If he is feeling better, maybe. Lelangue said on twitter that today is a very important day. I am not saying he will win but if he feels better he will be up there and him being up the front indicates he is feeling a bit better. Probably still not 100% but I was making the statement that it is his finish.

he may be feeling better but he isnt superhuman AC94 - he would be hurting with a broken arm/elbow. He is doing a very good job to hang in there.

Cadel is nothing if not tough. He seems to be able to fight through pain very well... for a short time. Eventually, if the pain is too much then he'll completely blow up, but net before giving everything he has first.

I think his elbow will really kill him today... but he's tough enough that I can see him deal with it for 3-4km... enough to take this stage. If it was 10km he'd probably have to let go though. If he's not hurt by the pace leading up to the final climb, I think he's got a shot.

Cadel usually spends most of his time out of the saddle on the steep climbs but that will be impossible with an arm fracture on this one, Evens has no chance to do anything today.

I cannot wait to watch the Astana Train destroy the entire field up the Pailheres then watch Bertie and Andy go at it on Ax Domaines. Andy needs to time before Tourmalet and the TT. In two days, just to make it clear I was not talking about today....

Versus just showed an interview with Levi, who has declared he will wheelsuck Menchov on the final climb.

I was just embarrassed for him watching that interview. Pretty inspiring stuff when your GC hopeful admits that he's going to do everything he can to just hold on and not lose too much time. Confident!

Menchov will burn him off, Shack riders hanging on for death so no surprise i suppose.

That's just a sad attitude. He needs a "L" tattooed on his forehead.
