nice to see what an *** conta still is. it would have been enough fo him to distance schleck in the pyrenees and let vino win. but no conta has to attack his own teammate:mad:

Yeah, I feel a bit the same. Oh well.

What the **** are you talking about? Alberto was looking behind all the time and trying to let Vino catch back on.

I wonder if Contador already signed his contract extension, cause I think he just screwed himself over. Getting 10 seconds on Schlek to take a win from Vino, he could've at least stopped riding when they caught up to him and force Rodriguez to take the lead, but he basicly screwed over Vino for about 3/4 seconds, and considering it's Vino's team I doubt it's worth it.

I agree. It would have been nice if he could have waited for Vino at least...

Clueless.

Really clueless.

Would you care to elaborate or are you just trying to be annoying?

Vinokourov was clearly very ****ed off at the line, sure he might well get over it soon but I doubt it was worth getting another 4/5 seconds.

Just to quote the live coverage of this site:
Only ten seconds or so gained on Schleck for Contador. Does that match a stage win for the Kazakh? Uh - seems likely to us in the blimp that Vinokourov won't be very happy about his teammates' tactics. As they say, sh** happens!

Of course you're right, and if Vino had been able to keep up I think he'd have probably got the stage win.

I think Contador might have it in the bag though, and sentimentally wanted Vino to get the stage.

Had it now for the flat at the top Contador could have taken much time over the cocky SChleck!

Exactly... another example for Contadope's insightful team tactics. It's all about him.

Nice bridge by Bertie up to Rodriguez. A second before I thought he was suffering, but that was a great effort.

I didn't see it that way. Contador didn't need to pull, but he did. If he wanted time, he should have attacked in a climb where he could have gained time. If he wanted the stage, I don't know why he pulled when Joaquim Rodriguez is faster than him and his teammate could catch up.

I'm more and more convinced that Contador is not the brightest rider in the bunch, tactically. I feel dirty for agreeing with Bruyneel

What?????????

I thought the yellow jersey is more important than the stage.

Who knows what is going to happen in the Pyreness. Nobody knows, so every oportunity that any of the rivals have counts.
