Oh yeah they really lost the tour . 15 seconds lost, now Schleck only has 2 and a half minutes and contador 2 minutes back to Samu. How will they hold on

Great performance by Gesink... Had to pass earlier and came back and rode past all those wheelsuckers later on. Helped Menchov win some time.

Nice job Bobby.

yeah he paced himself well, liked seeing him catch up and ride past levi.

ac and andy are a level above this tour.

seems to me sammy sanchez and menchov are next strongest.

also props to VdB... great tour

El Pistolero looks weak today... he didn't has it... Bad News for the next mountains stage and for the MTF in Tourmalet...

Contador might look weak, but AS wasn't any stronger. Contador beats AS in the time trail even with the yellow jersey effect. So unless Menchov wins 2 minutes in the following mountains, everything looks great for Contador.

Weak? Hmm, the only rider who need time is Schleck. But what he does is just wheelsucking. If he are going to ride like this, then he will not just lose the Tour, but also he can lose the podium.
No brother, no idea how to ride.

You really think Menchov just won the tour because of that? Seriously?

No but it could of been if they kept on playing that game. menchov will take big time on AS and AC in the final tt.

well AS is, Menchov and S. Sanchez are way better tt'ers than him.

I think for AS it really is a case of win tdf or nothing. Sure if he loses now he will go for the podium but at this stage, its all about beating contador and if he loses 2nd in the proccess, so be it.

Well everyone here on the forum and to me Contador thought he would destroy schleck - he didnt so he has to ask questions about if he really can or not......phycological blow for Andy TBH.

Ive seen leaders of the TDF with terrible TT skils pull out a blinder of a TT before.

Maybe, in a month of Sundays. If Schleck pulls out all the stops and then some, he still needs another minute.
He isn't going to find it on Contador's rear wheel.

Contador's attacks were tentative, bordering timid.

Levi drops away. We look to have a 4 horse podium race.
Bobby G is tied by Dennis....

Big time on AC? Seriously? You shouldn't throw around the term "idiot" with commentary like that.

Don't get so worked up... Let the Aussies have their fun.

When Gesink jumps away from Evans like he doesn't exist on the Tourmalet this July, we'll all be laughing.

:cool::cool::cool:

Well, I'm laughing now.

I don't know why Andy didn't at least try to attack. There is a few explainatons;

1 - He truly cracked and was gone, but if that was true then my money would have been on Bertie to go and put time into him, maybe Alberto just does not want yellow yet, Astana did most of the work on the front today anyway.
2 - He has drastically improved his TT'ing and thinks he can hold a 30 second advantage over Alberto in a 50km TT
3 - Um....He is that damn arrogant.

Win or nothing....the way all riders and fans should approach it.

Maybe because Levi just crossed the line after having to fight the last 2km on his own? Its not a Lance/RS free zone last time I checked.

LA has not been contributing at all for the teams comp for the last week, it is klodi, levi and horner, choosing today to bash him for dropping of the back is only a week late, nice and topical there.

Caisse have three riders in before Radioshack do...

Levi 1'53", Horner 2'26", Klöden 2'30" = 6'49"
Sánchez 2'02", Moreau 2'02", Kiryienka 2'16" = 6'20"

Radioshack had 31" advantage this morning. They have 2" now.

Are you sure I thought it was 21" this morning!

That make Caisse yellow labels tomorrow

phil agrees with you, ac prodded AS to see if he was dead yet and when he saw he wasn't they decided to have a peeing contest. overall a loss for as

Gesink: "I'm only really good above 1800 meters... this one was too low, only 1300 meters."

He's right too... he seems to get better as the climb progresses, whereas the others get worse. Well, I say: bring on the Tourmalet! ;)

I seriously doubt that. Perhaps off Schleck but nothing from Contador. AC/AS are watching each other with 3 more major mountain stages left they know that Menchov will blow, as he always does, on at least one of those. This tour has only 2 possible winners and only one likely winner, Contador.

3 more mountain stages.

I don't think schleck is too worried about anybody but ac, nor should he be.

Losing 15 seconds to the likes of Menchov won't keep him awake at night.
